windermereROYAL wouldn`t want Baker street packed out with both sets of fans.

Why not? Are you suggesting there might be trouble?

I naively attempted to go there for the England Vs Scotland play off match in 2000

Didn't make it in as it was too busy and the police were not allowing any more entry. Did wait around nearby watching for a few minutes looking like  <---that

We drunk at Baker Street for the Swansea and Arsenal games and no trouble at all - it was good "banter" and actually had some good chats with the opposition fans

Huddersfield will need to be on the train before 7 to get there for first orders at 10. Fair play if they do so in numbers, look forward to sharing a tinpot toast

Delboy Last time we drank in the Torch this time I have 5 children under 10 ! any suggestions?

Drinking around Waterloo initially with 3 kids in tow.
After that I think we are heading to the Premier Inn outside Wembley Park station. Apparently was fine for Arsenal game, has outside bars and is in our designated "area"

Just to avoid the hour and a half wait at Reading station, I've managed to talk someone into giving me and my mates a lift to one of the stops on the Metropolitan line, so I can get the tube in. So somewhere between Ruislip and Harrow, I guess.

Has anyone got a recommendation for which area is best to get dropped off in that has some or a decent pub not far from the tube station so I can have some semi quiet pints before the mad rush at any closer to the stadium. Any suggestions appreciated.

LUX I was at the Green Man pre Swansea and the queues were horrific. I picked up my ticket from my contact ( whom I shall not name) and skedaddled.

Really cannot understand why you'd want to go to the designated pubs when there are so many better, less crowded places in a 5- mile radius of the stadium, all connected by a 10-20 minute train/ tube ride.

Totally agree with this. Wembley High Street on match day is horrible.

Cureton's Volley Allsopp doors open at 10am - not 11 as advertised on website - may have to get an earlier train :?

Careful, they may be Sunday hours as it is a bank holiday.

Winston Biscuit can't decide whether to go somewhere like the Alsopp, which history tells me has a great atmosphere but is so rammed your chances of even getting served are slim, or somewhere nice and quiet elsewhere in London (went to some riverside bar near Borough Market for the West Ham away epic under Brian which was gr8)

most likely a car park near Wemblers I guess

I was struggling to understand why I had no recollection of struggling for service at the kirsty.
until I remembered I was drinking vodka from a coke bottle like some sort of tramp

Definately ends up being easier venturing to the Tesco round the corner and doing just that!

I was cheeky & called to book a table, but they said first come first served. Doors open at 10.

Mummy/ Nanny Hat On,

On Twitter they are saying that if you are drunk when going through security they will not let you into the stadium, you might just want to not get too shitfaced

That thought did cross my mind when I saw the forecast... I think it might be bigger than the Green Man inside (there's definitely one part of it I've never been to before) but if it does rain I might have to change my plans.
