Good luck Huddersfield and Who actually cares that we're not going up?

Gutted that we lost in another playoff final, but as for the Premier League, who cares?.
I just want all the razzmatazz of a playoff win, the celebrations, the knees-up, the missing from work for 3 days because I'm too drunk, the taste of blood. The fact that we won't be entertaining plastic Man City or cheating Chelsea next season does not bother me. We've been there and done it and it wasn't that much fun.
Love the Championship, the most enjoyable league in the world.
God luck Huddersfield.

No sour grapes about the result and good luck to Huddersfield next season.

Just hope the whole Premiership experience doesn't ruin the spirit at the club.

As an American I was looking forward to the prospect of being able to watch the team every week

It depends. If they are the kind of fans who love to take the piss out of fans who are gutted after a play-off defeat, I don't have much sympathy.

If they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and found some of our idiots, then no.

Of course I would have taken promotion over not going up just to see the great players of the top sides but I love the championship so definitely not upset.

Huddersfield seemed to have quite an ageing fan base and I would have felt a bit sorry for them if they had lost. Stayed behind to see them lift the trophy. Decent club and supporters. On NSC their idiot childish fans have been saying at least they will finish above the Play-off winners. Would love to see them relegated and Huddersfield finish above them.

I live overseas, and have few chances to get back for games, so I would've loved to have been able to watch the 30 seconds of highlights. Except we'd mostly just lose, and if we won it'd all be about how the other team didn't show up, so...

All Championship games are being live streamed next year so ironically you should be able to see more games next year than if we had gone up. In fact you'll be able to see every home and away game!!

Either team today would have been automatic favourites for relegation next season. Neither are good enough to stay up. Prefer to be promoted when we are ready. As need to stay up. As Norwich and Villa have proved. Money alone does not buy success. .

This pretty well sums up my views. Gutted we lost. Would love to have won especially to get rid of this blinking curse. But I think the championship is a great division & I dislike the Prem. Best of luck to Huddersfield - hope it doesn't ruin them.
Always wondered whether it would be possible to win the play offs or finish in top 2 and elect to stay down. I assume there are some league rules to prevent it.

I'm very sceptical about this. Did this really happen? No one else has posted about it as you would have expected as Baker Street would have been teaming with Royals at that time.
moo, out of interest, how old are you?

Can't say I am too bothered about the outcome, but I am certainly gutted about the performance which was terrible, feeble and showed an awful lack of ambition from the management.

Yes we did a decent number on Fulham and that was, in its way, quite enjoyable but every other game that has been on TV / streamed has shown Reading and Stam's style of football in a terrible light.

I get that finishing in 3rd place is an amazing achievement from where we were last season but the football is stagnant, turgid and boring.

Bring back Ian Branfoot.

Whilst a little harsh from Taipai there - I agree to a certain extent. Of course people care about their team and want to win - but some people take it too seriously they get all Nakhi about it.
