Davezk Where's the Ian Royal option?

There's been a shocking amount of polls without the Ian Royal option.

Yeah it's pretty horrendous but knew that would be the case. Not sure how accurate it is - Brentford is not 45 miles and further than Fulham - but the gist of it is correct.

In for a Tuesday night game in Sunderland. Hopefully in the depths of winter when it's freezing cold and miserable

Obviously it depends how we are doing but we could have the lowest average away attendance in the league next season.

It could be the first game of the season in August and it'd still be cold and miserable in sunderland

All I will say is that there are literally no away days I am overly looking forward to next season except Brentford, Fulham and Bristol City.

The rest are oxf*rd dull and got no new grounds to tick off in the league. We've played every side pretty recently who we will be up against next season.

Assuming we keep most of the squad intact, Stam as manager and add 4-5 quality signings then automatic promotion has to be the only aim for next season

The management and players must surely be aiming for promotion and nothing else now.

That would be great, but personally, I would be happy with 7th to 12th as long as it's entertaining.

I'm trying to work out what the Ian Royal option might have been - in administration / folding as a club perhaps?

Is it really worse than last year though?

Club (As the crow flies distance (miles) return)

Newcastle United - (494)
Brighton - (110)
Huddersfield - (316)
Rotherham - (280)
Wigan - (326)
Blackburn - (344)
2016/17 teams: 1,870

Sheffield United - (272)
Bolton - (326)
Millwall - (80)
Sunderland - (486)
Middlesbrough - (438)
Hull - (326)
2017/118 teams: 1,928

So yeah, it's worse, but only slightly. We're fortunate that Millwall beat Bradford otherwise it would be even worse.

I don't understand how Millwall and Brentford are exactly the same distance away.

Also, how is Cardiff and Bristol the same distance?

I thought the general theme of the hobnob 2017 wvnkathon was how bad GR is, so not sure why anyone is surprised that they've continued to post bollocks.

It's never too early to start planning the promotion party, right?

Google maps suggests

Madejski Stadium - Cardiff City FC = 112 miles one way = 224 return (same as GR)
Madejski Stadium - Bristol City FC = 84 miles one way = 168 return

Either they have based this off of some dodgy expense claims submitted by Charlie Watts/ Jonathan Low or they have just balled up using google maps and/or excel or whatever.
