Getting a tad that way. I've seen nothing from our transfer business, both completed and rumoured, to date that in my opinion corroborate Stam's proposal of bringing in quality players which significantly improve the squad.
As you said because of the playoffs we have less time to do things than normally. It's still early days but only time will tell.
How many players had we signed this time last summer?
Meh.. good point.

FWIW it was 2 at this point, Gravenberch and Van Den Berg. We hadn't even sold Tshibola at this point

maffff Fee of £310,000 split over two payments.
He'll earn £29,725 a week (and continue with his number 26 shirt).
His annual salary will be 5x the fee we get for him

Thought we'd get a bit more than that tbh

According to the BBC, sources close to Reading say the fee will be around £600k
Funny thing is I'm all a bit about Habsi (& Williams) leaving.
Suggest we concentrate at whether the club will promote Jaakkola or bring in another keeper.
And if Reading bring in another keeper that would suggest that Jaakkola's Reading career is as good as over as well.

It's because an automatic translate reads like two installments of £310k, but having checked with a few Arabic speakers it says £310k over two installments (so 310 total)

Hound agree Sutekh largely with that.
AAH is a great keeper and by every account a great man. The save at home to Fulham when he tipped it over is a lasting memory of him for me and his decision (I'm sure its not Stam's) for him to go is probably the right one for him.
However, I'm happy to see Jaakkola given his chance now.
Williams was always going if we didn't go up - and though he was excellent in the last few months of the season, in reality if he had gone at Christmas, no one would have cared a bit really. Again good luck to him, but we can find a player of a similar level

Gunny Fishcake Another example of football contracts not being worth more than soiled toilet paper, he signed a new three year deal only months ago.
genome Harsh on Jaakkola but I'd actually quite like us to go for Ruddy as a replacement.
