Getting to games next season

I've probably missed it, but are the A33 footpaths actually going to open before the season starts?
Currently nothing makes me think they will.

What with car parks going, a lack of paths seems a bit annoying

Travelling from Staffordshire for home games is going to get annoying but I'll just get on with it.

Where in Staffs? My daughter might also be travelling from Stafford for a few games.

You'd let your daughter travel with someone from the other side of the pitch?

What paths are closed? I normally walk through Waterloo Meadows from town and then along the river past Kennet Island to get to the stadium... Is that not going to be an option?

Last Thursday morning, the west side path was closed from Island Road to the Green Park junction. The newer section of the east side path that climbs up to run next to the road was also closed. But the east side path along Foudry Brook was open all the way.

Not sure if any of the above might change before the first home game, but as things stand there is no problem.

But the paths heading towards the motorway looked a mess, and a fair few people walk that way after the game as well, anyone parking at the Holiday Inn or heading to the park and rides may need a hard hat and hi vis jacket !

That's great, doubt it will mollify the people who absolutely must drive though

Interesting* to note that the F1 stop is now where all the shuttles go from and they're letting taxis park on Northern Way
