They've already as much as he's in a difficult position - unlikely to feature much, if at all.

Turned a new contract down a year ago and doesn't look like he'll sign again so he'll walk on a free in a year if he doesn't go now.

Can't see why he would leave Huddersfield for us at this stage. Even if he is going to be a squad player there next season he would have got a healthy salary uplift when they got promoted and will get a chance at some point during the season. Plus he runs his contract down and leaves for free next summer when he can command a sizeable signing on fee. If I was him I'd stay put and wait for my chance to play in the PL.

We have enough at the moment in Clement, Mendes and JDB (with Beerens, Popa on the wings) to not need to panic sign. I'm sure BT knows this. I suspect Hudders will accept far far less than 10m if he is still there at the end of August

People have to realise the prices of players are ridiculously high due to premiership money that is around. Unfortunately this is filtering down to the championship as well. Nonsense values for players are being banded about and paid. Having said that i would love to see Wells join at a reasonable price, 10Mil is insane though.
