For 86 mins as composed and as dominant display as you could wish to see, esp. Over a supposedly fancied team. Front 3 were particularly good, we're time in the 1st half where Villa were simply spectators.

Typical Reading though to switch off and turn a comfortable night into a heart attack. Get a striker and sort out the concentration issues and this side will go pretty close this year.

Spot on from Stranded

We were really really good for 86mins. Men against boys. Villa were incredibly bad

Annoying and frustrating to concede but no harm done in the end

Front 3 worked well, Barrow a potential star. Not just a dangerous forward but very hard working and did some great defensive work

Good tactics from stam and an excellent performance

Thoughts on the bus:

Barrow, Swift superb, Popa also good. Played some lovely stuff at times. Villa were fcuking terrible. Their fans seemed very dispirited. Had a feeling it would be nervy at the end. Got over the line though. If we had a good striker on the pitch I think we would've won that by 3 or 4.

Why the hell do they put us through this? 2-0 in an absolute canter, typical Reading take their foot off the gas and start farting about at the back and invite them on to us.
Very deserved winners in the end though.

Bruce: "We didn't deserve to lose"

It's going to take a while to find an appropriate gif for that

Did Lansbury come on last night for Villa? Sometimes think Forest had their trousers down offloading that show pony onto them especially after his refusal to play in the FA Cup game to go golfing with his mates instead.

he didn't come on. Prob sums up Villa's mismanagement more than anyone. Expensive wages no doubt, sitting on the bench, disliked by own fans etc

John Terry was every bit as slow and vulnerable as expected. No doubt was a great player in his time, but tbh, CBs of his current standard are growing on trees in this division - and not costing 100k a week or whatever he is on

RichTea94 Also, when the hell did Villa sign Chris Samba?

Next question is why the hell? He got annihilated at Cardiff on Saturday.

Was Samba actually playing then? Anyone notice?

Amazed on Radio Berks that when the team was announced Adie Williams was declaring that John terry would love our line up and he would have an easy game.
Williams thought we should have a big striker up front to battle it out with Terry.
Took Mick Gooding to suggest that actually Terry would be happy with a physical scrap and picking a couple of smaller, pacy players would be just the thing to do against Terry.
Williams really is useless....

I stood up,on 26 minutes and applauded, I assume he left the pitch at that point ?

Anyone else pay a tenner to pose with him and the Championship trophy in the hotel after the game ?
