genome De Boer to Palace

Reckon we'll see him play the same system as Stam? Will be interesting to see how that gets on in the Prem.

Give it 1 hour before Kes and the Informant start banging on about immigrants taking all our jobs.

Obsessed

Interesting choice by Palace full stop. Hardly tore up the trees at Inter, this has all the makings of Puel at Southampton and Mazzarri at Watford.

Rumbles that Jokanovic is unhappy at Fulham and could walk

Also, one I missed: Alex Neil to Preston

No problem with skilled people coming here for work. It's unskilled people coming here like Denis Rakels I have a problem with. Thankfully he's gone now.

And in that time Hearts managed an average of 1 win every month.

Justin Edinburgh cops a deadline day heave-ho after Northampton lose their opening four matches.

Odd timing.

Bit of deadline day there in more ways than one.

Probably should leave Northampton out of your weekend accas lads. You know how it is with managerless teams with a point to prove.

Listening to the radio, they played well yesterday too - had two cleared off the line.

Thing is, with their next few fixtures comprising Man United and Man City both away and Chelsea at home (I think), how much do they expect any new manager to achieve with that lot?

Very good.

From what I understand it was clear he was the wrong man for the job. Still, it's Palace - not sure what they were hoping for but I should expect to see them back where they belong soon, especially if they get Woy in to replace him!

Brilliant planning by Palace. Evidently De Boer was going to play different football to Big Sam, yet they've given him only four games (and truly only two awful performances) in which to turn it around. If you bring in a manager who is going to play a different style you surely have to accept that that style will take some time to impact on results. And, as said, they played pretty well at the weekend.
