Nameless Presumably 5Live have just run a spoof interview with Conte.
Discussed transfers and he was asked how other clubs can compete with the limitless budget of PSG. Conte declared it was tough and implied that PSG's approach to the game (throwing huge sums around) was unethical.
Remind me. is Conte manager of free spending Chelsea who have had hundreds of millions pumped into them by a super righteous owner ?

Lol. Its a weird world we live in

John Madejski's Wallet :?:

He killed someone while drink driving when he was a Bolton player. It was a big deal at the time as the media were claiming he would be banged up for years, turns out he just got fined what is the equivalent of around half a weeks wages on his current earnings. I am sure it taught him a hard lesson.

Wikipedia On 2 May 2011, Alonso was arrested following his involvement in a car accident in Madrid. He was the driver of a car that collided with a wall, killing one of the passengers, a 19-year-old woman, having been driving at 112.8 km/h (70 mph) in wet conditions in a 50 km/h (30 mph) zone, with a blood alcohol level of 0.93 mg per litre. He faced 21 months in prison when sentenced in February 2016, but his punishment was changed to a €61,000 fine and a driving ban of three years and four months, which had already been spent

Bit of a piss take IMO. Fined a weeks wages for causing someone's death when driving at over twice the speed limit and almost 3 times over the drink drive limit.

Someone told me it's one of the reasons Chelsea fans stopped singing at Liverpool about winning stuff without killing anyone. Bit hard to sing that when you have an actual irl bloke in your team who has killed.

That would be astounding evidence of a degree of self-awareness in Chelsea fans hitherto unseen.

I highly doubt they are clever enough to do such a thing. Let's remember they are same racist brain dead knuckledraggers who abused a Frenchmen on the metro despite having a load of black players.

"Dear Jim,

Please could you paint the carnage that ensued when the commentator Jonathan Pearce merged realities and commentated on a Premier League football match between the cast of house robots from Robot Wars and Chelsea?"

Pretty disgraceful challenge from Luiz, a deserved red card. We won't know his intention, but he'd been boiling up all game, and there was more than a small element of trying to hurt Kolasinac.

Not going to get into the high foot debate again, I think that's been had, but I think the yellow for his overhead in the box was harsh.

Again (I know)...

would you rather take a boot in the face from

an overhead kick (prolly hit with instep) or....

from someone running full speed, leaping off the ground and hitting you with a straight (locked out) leg/ with studs up?

I went to our 5-1 hammering on Wednesday night. Credit to Chelsea, they filled the ground and did a good tribute to Brian Clough. Felt very much like going to the theatre though and I'm looking forward to our away match at Reading where I don't have to worry about first great western screwing up our journey home at some ungodly hour.
