Thanks for these...who was Struggle pig as I love that...

Skittles I assume refers to the effect of his tackling?

Rooster generally means a Ginger but Bone ( bone head...not the brightest)

Also Terry the Taxi?

Much appreciated

Peter

"Flapperici" and "Ali Al-Flapsi" were some of my personally least favourite "witty" nicknames.

Our reactionary chants are usually witty, but our nicknames are quite clearly dross

I believe Martin Williams acquired the name Skittles due to the number of times he fell over the ball.

Sonko = Superman, The nickname was acquired in a game where he stopped the ball with his chest..... the match report contains the facts, but the myth is that he rose up above 20 opposition players, cape flowing behind him and stopped a cannon ball with his chest as his eyes glowed white. The opposition fell to their knees as they met their God and the 80,000 fans in the East Stand fell silent (the 30,000 West Stand fans are always silent).... The Eamon Dolan family stand would have fallen silent if they were not too too busy eating hotdogs and catching Pokémon.

Adam Le Fondre = Alfie as his initials spelt ALF

Sonko's Superman heroics were in the 2-0 home win against Ipswich in 2005 where he took a full blooded belter from about 5yds away full in the head without even flinching, preventing a certain goal in the process.

Bas Savage - Bambi, After one of the tabloids described him as playing like Bambi on Ice and a player who kicked the ball as if it was his mortal enemy.

There used to be a Reading player called Murray (not Scott Murray or Glenn Murray) and his nickname, was Minty.... as I'm sure every player called Murray gets called (probably inc Scott and Glenn).
