NewCorkSeth
double d I was more excited for 5 mins of Popa then 85 mins of everybody else. Why does stam not play Popa always?

Aluko and Barrow are better.. Popa is crap. Why do people rate him so much on here?

They are. Barrow gets knackered around the 70 mark though and Popa is a handy sub

yuomi Did I miss something, who defends a single goal lead by putting a striker on?

For one of the best centre backs of the past 25 years, Stam can't organise a defence for sh*t.

Yeh I hope he is asked about that after the game

2-2 was afair result overall. We bossed it first half and look comfortable. We did get cocky in the 2nd and then dropped deeper and deeper and deeper. 2nd goal was as annoying as it was inevitable. Can’t wait for Sky’s Colin love in after this break

Next month is going to make or break our season. Decent run and we’ll be fighting for play-offs......anything else and it is mid-table nothingness...

Positives

Superb game for entertainment

Most of the RFC performance was good and positive

Intensity was great

Plenty of driving forward and chances

Negatives

Although good we missed our 3rd and 4th goal that was begging to be scored.

We really did throw 2 points away

Summary

The season is far from over. It's frustrating but this really isn't a surprise what happened tonight. It's happened tons. Of missed oppprtjnitoes.

It's not the end of the world. We need to take the many positives and crack onnfor the next game.

I can't feel my fingerssekjfjkre

Turned off at fulltime. Did they ask Colin why his team played better after he was sent to the stand?

I like the guy but I think more and more he is a bit of a liability. Just too many mistakes

Bacuna didn’t have a great game either I didn’t think

Facts

It was a fair result.

Cardiff really came out better in second half

We were then outclassed

We didn't take our chances

They dug n and did

That's it. I know RFC fans will have a melt down but come on. That's this season Summed up. It's part of the journey. That's it

That's true but is it too much to ask for a level playing field?

Not with Bellamy telling everyone we were lucky to be 2-0 up........and talking all about how amazing Cardiff were 2nd half. Sky have always disliked us because we have a small fan base and putting us on doesn’t pull in viewers. It is what it is.

To be honest, this result has been coming under Stam. We've been 2-0 up in many games under him and let the other side back in with a late goal - Villa at home this season, Sheff Weds, Barnsley, Bristol City, Brighton, Blackburn

We just usually see the game out, today we didn't. Was bound to happen at some point

Agreed. We can’t be relied on to keep a clean sheet on most occasions......and we do invite pressure on ourselves, especially when we are ahead. Even at Sunderland last week, I was concerned at 3-1.....we ship goals so easily.

Back from the game. Thought Cardiff were dire. Played no football. Proper route one hoof ball. Didn’t string two passes together. Worst team I’ve seen at the Madejski for years. And Fulham fans thought we were anti-football last season.

I was so bored in the second half. How is that remotely entertaining. Dellor was creaming his pants on the radio on the way home about it being the most entertaining game of the season.

Did I go to a different game or something?

Geez, people have short memories. Villa, Barnsley and Forest were far, far worse than Cardiff. By a long way.

I agree that I didn't think the game was hugely entertaining, like some are saying.

You went to the same game but are blind. Or just exaggerating.

Cardiff were average first half. We were far better and more intense. They were on the back foot and just looked off pace and struggling to take back control.

Second half two things happened:

1) primarily Cardiff improved
2) secondly we got worse and didn't close the game down

People need to chill out. It's another disappointing end result but isn't anything to have a melt down over.

We are getting better. It's naive to think that we've completely turned a corner and that these results won't happen. They will. It doesn't mean we can't still achieve something this season. And even if we don't, it's all about building something over time
