Hound Baffling what good McShane thinks would come of that
Esp when he has been amongst our poorest performers all season

Yeah, but how do they fricking know?
Multiple people saying it on Twitter could easily be one person making it up and other people repeating it as fact.
Because they were there
I don't see how just being at a game means you know McShane said something specific to the others. If he' physically ushered them off in obvious way, that would be something fans who were present could see. But knowing he said somethiing in particular, I find had to believe.Houndgenome Jonathan Low said the same thing too.
Going to highlight that - if JLow reports it, it’s pretty much certainly happened
what the hell are they thinking?
Yeah, if Low's reporting it it adds a lot of credibility.

Hound I think the post match pics also give it some credibility. McShane clearly aggrieved
TBH had enough of him. He more than anyone on the pitch has caused our abysmal form. Fcuk knows why he keeps being picked because he offers nothing. A massive failure is Stam’s management this season

And that's been McShane throughout this season - making p*ss poor decisions in the heat of the moment. Absolutely appalling example to set as captain.

TiagoIlori McShane told the fans not to applaud the fans at full time, Van den Berg and Swift led the walking off. Gunter and Edwards only people to applaud the fans. I can barely blame those that walked off, constant booing at the moment making everything worse. Some of our fans need to look in a mirror, how can you expect respect when you just abuse them?

fcuk off! That was a great turn out all things considered and until it was abundantly clear that we were completely hopeless, the support was behind the team. Even a chant of Jaap Stams barmy army pre-match.
Once it was clear we had no interest in actually trying to score, although not playing any strikers was a fair give away, then yes the support turned more sarcastic and negative but nothing unreasonable considering the atrocious display.

bcubed Don't think fans were supportive
And the song about passing it back (describing football the Jaap Stam way) was hardly endearing the fans to players or Stam.
Not surprised at McShanes reaction really

What do they expect ? Blaming the fans for their poor performances is sinking quite low

If you're not surprised by McShane's reactions, then it shows just how bad things have got. Completely unacceptable behaviour from the captain, regardless of what 'provocation' there might have been.
Do people really think that all those travelling supporters spent their time and money going to the game just to criticise the players?

Neither him or the fans are in the right, people need to understand that it actually affects the players booing them constantly, going to aggravate them. Chanting against your team in the second half is only going to wind them up, and McShane is well known for his outbursts. Not a good mix at any level

Try working in services and trying to deal with the abuse you get from customers, it’s not nice.
