BFTG Sheffield Utd

by PieEater » 27 Feb 2018 22:06

As soon as I saw the team selection I knew this was game over. How hard is it for a manager to stick with a side that performed well on Saturday rather over manage and try to do some clever tactics and team selection to send out a team that didn't know what it was doing or how to play. We're at home - let them change their tactics to match us.

We could have been 2-0 down within 10 minutes after two defensive unforced mistakes so nobody was really surprised when we gifted them their first goal. To be fair there was some fight back and a great save from Blackman stopped our best chance of the half.

We did pretty well nothing else for the rest of the half then just as half time they scored a wondergoal, similar to Kellys on Saturday. Since it was -5C I gave up.

The end result was no surprise but I'm really past caring.

It was a mess. The pitch was poor and we didn’t adapt. 3-5-2 was a disaster

Joey was abysmal as was Clement. No one else was much good bar Kelly who I thought was a lone high point

Missed pen followed by the very dodgy 3rd ruined what could have been an exciting end to the game.

Wasted 45 minutes of my life there. Left at ht. Chucked my st away somewhere in a bush. I do not see myself ever going back. I will get a Crawley st next year when I move.

Less 7,000 at home for a championship league game is a seriously low point for this club. When Madejski built this stadium with the promise of competing with the bigger clubs of English football there was a buzz and despite the relegation to division 2 we saw at least decent crowds that used to be bettered only by the Stokes and Man city's of the division at that time. What a serious statement the fans have made this season, less than 7000????? thats less than some of the league 2 crowds. This is an absolute disaster that people hate the standard of football so much, never mind the results, they would rather not bother even going. We might go down even if we sack Stam but he has to go regardless, this is beyond desperate now and he is killing this club along with this leadership who haven't got a clue about recruitment and are so out of touch with the fans they think everything is fine. What a shambles.

There are plenty of people who do care. Be good to hear other opinions on the game rather than just rubbish jpegs or doom mongers - plenty of threads of those already

Some of you may be claiming that you no longer care, but I do.

Personally, I'm really gutted with our situation at the moment. And I keep thinking about that playoff final the longer this run of 1 win in 14 goes on. We've just completely fallen apart since then and it's pretty galling.

Not enough care

The players don’t seem to care as they keep turning in performances like that garbage

The management don’t seem to care as they keep plugging this same stupid style of football that is failing

The owners don’t care as they take no action and never turn up at games

No wonder fans largely are so apathetic about it all

Seriously though, fans obviously do care deep down but have all just about had enough of this season, this team and this manager.

That was painful to watch. And not just because of the cold

Everyone knew that was going to be bad the second the team sheet came out. Seriously, Stam can jus fukk off now, I'm bored of this

// What was with the formation we all know is rubbish?
// Clement and Kelly against a fast, physical team (tbf Kelly was pretty good), just why?
// WTF was Bacuna doing taking a pen when we have two strikers on the pitch?

Just insipid

Good save for the pen, but it was very telegraphed where it was going

btw that first goal looked miles offside (not Martin, the winger who crossed it)

Oh and the 3rd goal.......that was all on our stupidity, Sheff Utd did absolutely nothing wrong.

Stam just said he wouldn't be surprised if he gets sacked on BBCRB. :o

You have no evidence for that, the players have no confidence. That's different to not caring.

The management don’t seem to care as they keep plugging this same stupid style of football that is failing

Stam has actually been more flexible with our style recently.

The owners don’t care as they take no action and never turn up at games

Haven't they been to a few this season? Fairly sure they have.

No words apart from Stam`s love child JVDB is stealing a living. I`m off to bed.

Tell Matt Le Tissier, Steven Gerrard, Nicky Shore, Ian Harte, Mark Noble, James Milner.... etc that they need to give the ball to the striker

But yeah, Clement hasn't cut it - agree with you there

Just home having frozen my nads off watching that pile of shite.

We were lucky it was just three could have been 5,6 or7
The penalty miss (had it gone in of course) would have papered over the proverbial cracks

STAM GET THE FACK OUT OF MY CLUB BEFORE YOU RUIN IT FURTHER!

Lowest home League attendance since 6233 watched the PANTS Day game v Wrexham 18/12/1999, which ended 2-2.

Rather apt should the ***** Tw@t gets relieved of his duties in the morning.

Kelly was decent, Richards okay, Smith busy and Moore off colour. The rest were absolute dogshit.

Good night
