DADI

by Snowball » 11 Mar 2018 09:42

Just looking at his stats and surely he must be seen as a success?

About 1,420 minutes, often as a bit-part player but the guy now has 10 goals (7+3)
at the quite amazing rate of a goal every 142 minutes, even more amazing when
we were told "he doesn't score many goals".

His all round play is also good for the team. Well done, Dadi!

I like him - always have

I don’t think he is a world beater, but always puts in a good shift and as you say, has scored a decent number of goals

Should have played more, but has had a couple of badly timed injuries - esp after Leeds away which haven’t helped his cause

He has dealt with Stam's too-many-changes better than some
who may well have had confidence drained by his tinkering

It's absolutely criminal management he hasn't started more games and I wouldn't be surprised to see Martin back ahead of him againat Wolves if he's well, seeing as Stam believes in giving strikers who don't score for us endless chances over him.

You'd never expect a massive haul of goals from Big Dadi, but he's a solid choice.

Certainly one for next year, even if only as second choice.

I wonder, though, if he was first choice, and praised more
he might be at least a 15-goal a season player.

Could still manage that of course...

All the aboves.

I would suspect that there are a few on here who are laying-low (maybe just a little bit embarrassed),
given their derogatory comments when we first signed him

Have to be honest I thought he was useless when he first played. However I have warmed to his commitment and all round ability.
Dadi is one of the few who have improved since our clown of a manager stepped in.
The rest have gone backwards. Hopefully he wont knock the heart out of him like he has everyone else associated with the club.

nice

JDB had decent international credentials (and potentials for us) that maybe had been overlooked by a lot of the hna mouthpieces lol

Needless to say, I was shot down purveying such things at that time 8)

Fcuk me I agree with Ian. And tbf all of the other posts.

I thought he was a fcuking donkey at first and then he scored that goal in front of us in the ED stand, which was a thing of some beauty.

He’s actually flourished despite our “manager” , some unfortunate injuries and zero service.

With a decent run in the side he’d have scored 15+ goals. I like him. Yesterday he put in a shift for the entire team.

Very good Championship striker. We have the added bonus of it being a World Cup year too so he will be giving everything to make sure he gets a place in that Icelandic squad if not a guaranteed start,

Yeah but come on, this whole season is quite clearly his fault following "that miss" against Bristol City. We'd be in the play-offs now if he'd scored that

I like him, as a player he isn't a gifted natural. But out on the pitch his commitment and desire to put a shift in and perform is impressive. The form that the team is in, his attitude on the field must be kicking some players up the arse.

That would be me. But whilst I'm happy to say he's answered my criticism, it really says something when a very bang average average striker who wasn't good enough to feature for a rival side in the league and has just about notched double figures is considered a season highlight.

He'll be excellent next year.

Easily a 20+ striker in the Third Division.
