It does look like it could be a very low points target to stay up this year.

Three wins would do it for us. Issue is, I don't think we'll get them.

We'll rely on the teams below to be worse.

I still think brum and a Sunderland will go on a run, Sunderland will leave it to late and just fall short and Gary monk is a tricky one give him a couple more games to sort things out and Birmingham may well be a very different team come the end of the season.
Who would have thought a year ago that Birmingham, Gary monk, Sunderland and Chris Coleman would be facing relegation to league 1.

I think we'll beat Sunderland and QPR at home and then maybe a couple of draws along the way, lose the rest. I think that might see us home tbf.

Agree with both statements. I'm just hoping for a surprise win away
at a place like Wolves/Villa/Cardiff/Norwich

For example, come the final day
Cardiff may be in the POs and resting players
and we need to win there to guarantee staying up...

On FORM, I think we will drop dangerously close (we have a scary run-in)
but a bit of luck, a hammering but we sneak the win somewhere, and
then I think we'll be OK. If not...

think similar in that we will scrape a surprise away win along the way. Norwich the most likely

That and a win against a shambolic Sunderland will see us basically safe

We said the same about Bolton and Leeds.

Our form against low placed sides is quite abysmal really I tend to think we're more likely to get points against better sides and then
more likely away from home.

I can't see Birmingham winning 4 or 5 of their last nine when they've just lost 7 in a row. I can even see Burton winning that many from their last 10.

I'll nail my colours to the mast and say 22nd will finish with 41 points max.

Not sure it's much different to assuming all the teams below us will go on a run of form

Won't beat Sunderland. Points will come against the better sides (aka beating Villa and taking 4 from Derby). Just want the season to be over. Turgid sh1te.

I keep seeing this view.

Why? What about their squads makes you think that they will suddenly know how to play winning football. They have both been abject.

I'd give Brum more of a chance than Sunderland. Sunderland have been consistently useless, whilst Brum at least showed themselves capable with that mini-run they had a couple of months back (13pts from 6 games).

Thought they looked ok against us actually. They have some decent players there that just don't seem to have clicked - ie Jota, Gallagher, Dean, Colin, fat Stockdale. Was a bit surprised when they went back on this losing run

Their next 4 fixtures are against Hull (h), Ipswich (h), Bolton (a) and Burton (h). Prob need 7/8 points from that lot to have a chance

The best bit is

Brum-Hull
Brum-Burton
Brum-Bolton

Even if we lost three times and these were draws, it wouldn't be the end.

Not sure how many six-pointers are left but they are HUGE now

Yep those games are big yet Brum have scored the lowest number of goals in the Champ (25), Burton poss worse. Have the 3rd worst defence and the 3rd worst GD. Sunderland have a better attack but the worst defence and GD. Will be very surprised if either get out of trouble.
