Royal_jimmy I look at Barnsleys fixtures and think they could definitely get 13-14 points from that lot. We need Norwich to get something there tonight.

Would mean if Bolton were to get 9 points from their remaining games and Birmingham got 15 from their remaining 9 then we will need 10 more points to guarantee safety. Hopefully we won't get thrashed tonight so our GD is good.

Barnsley v Norwich
Barnsley v Millwall
Barnsley v Bristol City
Nottingham Forest v Barnsley
Barnsley v Sheffield United
Ipswich Town v Barnsley
Barnsley v Bolton Wanderers
Leeds United v Barnsley
Barnsley v Brentford
Derby County v Barnsley

BIrmingham will be lucky to get 5 let alone 15

So you think Birmingham will be lucky to get 2 points from their last 8 games?

I wouldn't be thinking we're going to suddenly turn everything around and go on a run just because we won one game, so why would I think much different for them?

Yeah, the hyperbolic 5 looks pretty achievable right now. I'll hold on for a bit more than one result before I start revising my outlook to them completely changing things up though if you don't mind.

They have average a little short of a point a game (0.87 ppg) for 38 games
and by all accounts they played well in their two defeats before, not
a lucky 1-0 win but a stonking 3-0.

They have all the makings of a rebound side. Logic says they ought
to get another 7, (which is more than 2)

IPSWICH, reasonable chance of 3, decent chance of 1
BURTON, excellent chance of 3, unlikely to lose, so 1 or more
SHEFF UTD, as Ipswich
FULHAM, likely defeat, but Fulham may be resting players, so a chance

Bolton very reasonable chance of 3, very decent chance of 1
Bristol likely defeat
Wolves likely defeat
QPR likely defeat but QPR may be playing a few kids by then

I'd say 7 expected, ten not impossible

I am HOPING for an upset and we beat QPR

If we do, we will relax and beat Sunderland, maybe 3-0
and everyone will be saying "what was the fuss about?"

But lose while playing badly to QPR
and I don't think we will then beat Sunderland

Something between two defeats and a win and a draw.

Too many variables right now.

2 more victories should do it. Can't see Barnsley and Birmingham getting past 45 points tbh. If we hadn't won on Friday I really would be nervous.

We should target wins from Sunderland, Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday away and aim for draws vs Preston and Villa

How do you actually target certain games?

Wednesday and Sunderland just hit decent opposition for 4. I think Ipswich will be our best bet but honestly i don’t see any reason we can’t get a good result at Villa.

And they got three from the first game. Can they not get 4 points in 7 games?

Birmingham will get 7 more points minimum I think.

It's Barnsley who look more in trouble tbf. They've got a couple derbies too

That 3-0 win at home could be what keeps us up

Convinced we've got enough on 39 points!

With Clement at the helm I expect us to pick up another 8 - 10 points.
