Not been bottom 3 all season, wouldn`t it ironic if we dropped in on the last day?

CountryRoyal With the risk of going full John Smith, it’s not going to happen.

I wonder if he'll concede that we're in a relegation battle yet?

There is no relegation "Battle" for our side just a real threat of relegation.

Franchise FC
Bouncing straight back is not that common and just ask Sunderland fans if going down to come back is a good thing

I agree. We're in no fit shape to bounce back up. Southampton, Sheffield United, and Leeds actually took a long time to get back up. Coventry went on sinking. Charlton may miss out again. They were all bigger clubs than us. If we go down, I think things will be as under Burns. Clement has no experience at that level at all and would not fill me with hope in League 1.

As for people saying it will be good to go down and get more grassrootsy--the Elm Park days are over ... and the MadStad will seem like a hollow white elephant at that level.

The odds are stacked in our favour to stay up, and if we don't, it will be a disaster--no way to gloss over that.

TiagoIlori Thought I’d clarify what we have to look out for in the final day. Remember the teams that provide significant danger to us all have tough fixtures to play.

Bolton are all but guaranteed to finish below us with a 14 goal difference in our favour
So if one of EITHER Burton, or Barnsley FAIL TO WIN we are safe

However, if both Burton and Barnsley win AND Birmingham draw we will go down.

Fixtures are as follows:
Preston- Burton
Birmingham- Fulham
Derby- Barnsley
Cardiff- Reading

Corrected for you.

Ah, my bad. Thank you for pointing this out, I have corrected it in original post

Who is it that has been saying for many weeks now that we would drop into the bottom three on the final day?

Was it Nuremberg Royal?

£10 bet . £5 Burton win, Barnsley win Brum draw , £5 Burton win Barnsley win Brum win will give you a nice profit if we go down. something like 100/1

You need to add Cardiff to win and then the acc is about 120-1

Also you need to bet BRum win OR draw

Otherwise we could go down AND you lose your bet

What were the odds today for Burton and Barnsley to win and for us to lose? Probably not 120-1 but must have been pretty decent odds no?

Reading 55/1 to get relegated with Paddy Power. Bookies rarely get it that wrong, we won't go down.(although we deserve to...) Chances of burton, Barnsley and Birmingham all getting results are slim, but chuck £10 on Reading going down, at worst it will pay for your new division one season ticket :D

Look at the positive side - at least Reading will definitely be on the box next Sunday . . . .

Burton are the ones to keep an eye out for. They will stay up. Barnsley may get a result against Derby. Birmingham will NOT beat Fulham though

Birmingham only need to draw with Fulham (presuming we lose to Cardiff)

We are 3-0 down at half time.

Fulham think oxf*rd that and let Birmingham roll over them.

Burton are beating Preston and Derby think, oxf*rd we are safe, we hate Reading and Chris Martin, let’s roll over and Let Barnsley survive....

RELEGATION.

One thing that may help us is that two of ynebteams below us may not need to win or in Brum’s case even draw to stay up. Barnsley may be in a position to shut up shop and settle for a point if Burton are not winning.
Not all of the teams below us need to go all,out for a win next Sunday
