On top of that you have about 100 other whiney idiots - most of whom are 18 - all saying you're a "virgin" or tinpot for not standing at away games.

Bad experience, Bobs?

No just baffled as to why some think "virgin" is an insult. I've also heard people call each other "strings".

Spin off thread... good insults. It appears you can use any random object or thing as a term of abuse.

You Pepe are a bloody prittstick

My favourite thing I’ve seen on Twitter is someone call another user a “salad”. As an insult.

Might start using that from now on.

I have frequently used various vegetables and food items as an insult (including vegetable - though that does have a slightly harsher and more politically incorrect connotation). Favourites include; carrot, courgette, potato, sandwich... etc

Most effective following; “you fcuking...”, “you absolute...”, “you utter...”.

I like salad. (The insult)

Fcuk me how did I forget that one, an absolute classic. You’ve got it genome.

Does remind me of that horrendous old joke.

“What’s the only part of a vegetable you can’t eat?”

Factually incorrect.

He’s been scrap metal for 3 months now.

Yes the joke is dated. I couldn't think of another prominent wheelchair user.

From a Twitter user about the Eastleigh friendly, apparently let down by his sources:
Hoping to get a chat with Nigel Gibbs and a player shortly. Overall it was a disappointing display by the Royals. Decent spell in the second-half but should have held on to the point. Lacked urgency/creativity going forward for most of the game. Work to be done.

Old Man Andrews Courtney Friday describes Joey Van Den Berg as a "top banana".

Might that just be his version of calling him a salad and therefore be a demeaning term..?

Joey van den Berg plays football like a banana, slipping on banana skins.

I took it to mean that JVDB is one of the only people at the club who willingly talk to him.

Yep and what I will say for him is that he's been hugely more active since this thread started. He's trying to look more professional and come across better.

His supporters should be thanking me.

WOuldnt disagree. And if you are reading this CF as I’m sure you will, the content for the friendly and the presser were decent and informative

Just less of the ‘chronicle sources’ nonsense and we are all happy

Courtney Friday tells us Marc McNulty was shown around Hogwood last week.

Don't believe this for one second, fee not even agreed yet so how can he have been given permission to just rock up at Hogwood. This is why Friday is a complete prick.
