Sanguine
Silver Fox When we win will the try-hards who are trying to claim that it's not coming home just star saying we've got no chance of beating Sweden or Switzerland?

Nevermind that - I read an actual apparently genuine comment on a forum yesterday that was already denigrating any supposed success if we reach the World Cup final because 'we've got an easy draw'.

Was the person in question Welsh or Scottish?

Sutekh Just realised ITV have this game

When was the last time they televised England winning a game at the WC finals?

Apparently ITV’s win rate with England is only something like 29%. BBC’s is more like 60-something!!

It doesn't actually mean anything fellas, just a pure coincidence.

If anything, it means we're due a win on ITV due to the law of averages

You mean to tell me that the TV station that’s televising a game has no actual bearing on the result of that game played 1,000s miles away?

Who’d have know...

Can't be doing with work today. Working should be banned on the day of England internationals, my PMT is really bad.

Really?

They're a decent side yes, and it's not an easy game, but you can't see anyway we can beat a side who recently drew 0-0 with both Egypt and Australia?

Been playing World in Motion, Vindaloo, Three Lions etc....... since 7.30am this morning. Not quite sure how I can keep this level of excitement up for the entire working day.

yep, England obviously have a great chance tonight.

But this (excellent) WC has shown that anybody can give the better teams a fright.

It'll be difficult, they are no mugs, prolly better than Japan, and South Korea for instance (who beat Germany).

Come on England.

It’s not trolling, I just can’t see it happening. If they do win I think they’ll make the final. But I think Colombia will be too organised and tough to break down, and having seen how England struggled against Tunisia I don’t fancy them at all.

If anything it will be the opposite - they'll be dangerous going forwards (what's the news on James?)

I think we've got the quality to break them down, Kane will know all about Davinson Sanchez's weaknesses. We just need to turn up defensively.

This will be our hardest game enroute to the final, I'd be more confident against Croatia in the Semi's after their performance on Sunday. Colombia are so tough and awkward, really worried about them.

I'll listen to 5live until 6:59pm, move downstairs and watch the half, 5live goes back on at half time, watch the second half, and then switch the TV off after the game. Job done.
