Bit of a risk but I am glad we are taking these sorts of risks on players with English league experience.

Don't see it as a huge risk. 1m is pretty small in today's game - bloody Dave Edwards cost that last year

Worth a go imo

The admin of a Coventry forum is saying he has gone as well.

One thing that has been on their forum which was interesting is a comment that he is not an "athlete". The reckon he will need to get a lot fitter and sharper to have any chance in the Championship.

In general they all rate him but the majority also think he will struggle in the Championship. I guess time will tell.

Must admit having gone to play off final (mates who are Cov fans and eldest spawn at Exeter so have seen them a couple of times, too) and the comment about McNulty not being an athlete seems spot on. Lots of hustle and bustle and good runs but he's a midget and, shall we say, he has a low Centre of gravity.

It's alright, our tempo is so slow he could catch a bus to the back post and still beat the ball there, so no athletecism required.

103 goals in 229 appearances in all first team competitions in both Scotland and England so he’s not that bad and obviously knows where the goal is. Perhaps a similar mould to Adam Le Fondre and could just carry on scoring at this higher level. Whoever comes in though will struggle if nothing is being created for them.

Was putting this in the original thread too difficult?

Yep on the official (that was suspiciously quick from Cov confirming they had accepted an offer)

4 year deal

Happy with this, worth the gamble. Could be great, could be useless but relatively inexpensive

Yes I think so too. Relatively low cost punt for a striker.
