Must admit having gone to play off final (mates who are Cov fans and eldest spawn at Exeter so have seen them a couple of times, too) and the comment about McNulty not being an athlete seems spot on. Lots of hustle and bustle and good runs but he's a midget and, shall we say, he has a low Centre of gravity.

Well 5'10" is hardly Sammy Igoe is it? With a bit of discipline why couldn't his fitness levels improve - if they need to? Hardly remember Curo or ALFie beinf particularly "athletic", whatever that means?

As an aside, I'll be trundling down the road to Bishop's Stortford this season to see how the legend that is Curo is getting on, and will report back.

Not entirely bothered about his perceived lack of athleticism. Presume that means he doesn’t chase about all over the place and isn’t especially pacey but as has been pointed out the same can also be said of Alf and Curo and that didn’t stop them from banging them in at this level.

Now if the club could bring in the proverbial “marquee” signing this summer then I don’t think it’ll have been too bad a transfer window.

Step up in defending quality is likely to be difficult for him and I can see him getting bullied by some of the bigger meaner CBs. That's an impressive pen taking ability from quite a long quick run up, and not all at the same spot either.

Good range of finishes, not the quickest but seems able to run the shoulder, finds space in the box, gets on the end of crosses, long shots and some clever cute finishes. Good at winning pens.

He seems the complete striker, just question marks over whether he's good enough to cope at this level (otherwise he'd be 10 times the price).

Very pleased with this. Gives us an alternative to Bod and an option to partner him in the big hard worker - small fox in box mold too.

Yiadom, Meyler and McNulty are very positive signings. Not spectacular, not designing to win us the league. But to give us a platform to get us up the table and build on from there. Suggests there's a realistic, pragmatic plan and appreciation of where we are

I am really pleased with this signing.

I saw him play in a couple of games last season and he was a class apart from the other players and I believe that he will easily make the step up.

He just needs PC to keep him confident.

Yes you can question the level he's played at and whether he can cope with the physicality of The Championship but he seems to have sound technique and an eye for a chance so the raw attributes are there, be it picking his spot from the edge of the area or poaching in the 6yd box. We've just got to create chances for him.
