SCIAG Think we'll look back on this one with regret in a couple of years. Evans is a very talented player who should have been playing every week for us. Meyler might be a better option in the short term, particularly defensively, but Evans has a higher ceiling and was also a good option in defence.
Don't really understand why Derby are signing him if Huddlestone doesn't fit stylistically. Evans is basically a young Huddlestone - big guy, great passer, good positioning, limited mobility. Would have thought they'd be better off going for Kelly or Bacuna.

What a load of nonsense. Evans can't cut it at Championship level, he had two years to prove himself and failed on almost every level. He's a League 1 player, every player has their level.

Snowflake Royal As is usually the case, the truth is somewhere in the middle. Evans is certainly not a player for whom League One is his ceiling and neither is he destined for greatness.
With the right breaks, attitude and hard work in the right environment he could make a quality Championship player or maybe even in time a decent lower Prem one. But equally he could fade to obscurity and find himself in the lower leagues, conference or out of football if things go badly for him.

Hound Tbf, could see him fitting in well with the aimless pass the ball around and create no chances before being hit on the break game plan
