From Despair To Where? Hope they stuff United. Absolute bullshit decision to parachute them into WSL2. Once again proving that when the FA are involved, money talks.

Manchester United 0 Reading 2.
I know its only the cup but it really shows how difficult it is for the minnows to get a result against the big teams.

To be fair, pulled in a crowd of over 4k.

BR0B0T Typical women wait for the men to build the foundations (over 100 years) and then move in and demand that we give them their own teams. Start your own teams and make them good enough to be undeniable

Whilst an obvious wind up, the mens game was actually responsible for destroying the Women's game. Back around the time between the wars, the Women's game was very popular and often attracting bigger crowds that the Men's game. The Football League responded by banning women from playing in any of the stadia. As these were the only grounds big enough to house the gates attracted (as high as 53k at Everton) the game essentially was sidelined until the 70s.
If it had been allowed to grow naturally, the Women's game could well be the equal or possibly even more popular than the Men's game.

That does tend to happen when the big clubs come to visit.

Hound they seem to have a really solid set up. Whoever has been running that side of the club has done a fantastic job. Should be top 4 again, and when that is up against 4 of the 'big 6' from the men's world, its a cracking achievement
And yeah the contrast the men's first team is very stark unfortunately

1 game played and more points, more wins and nearly as many goals as the men's 1st team have managed in 6 games. Perhaps Clement should name the ladies to play v Preston.
