Thinking about it, won't Osho be cup tied, not sure if he featured for Aldershot in their FA Cup run? Haven't seen it anywhere though

He played for the Shots vs Bradford when they got knocked out. So he wont be featuring.

ha, don't think it will though. In another thread but it only applies to league

I don't think that is true.

I am sure that all domestic bans apply to all domestic competitions.

Check the injuries thread. No actual view on it myself as didn’t bother to read but think the consensus was it was league only

The new "competition-specific sanctions" relate to totting up of yellow cards.

A red card in a game will result in suspension over all competitions.

I dont think the youngsters confidence would shatter if they lose / bullied off the park - talking about playing against some of the top players in the country probs about 3-4 levels higher than we are atm. Its better to play the youngsters on merit than throwing on some experienced heads who only playing because they have a handful of Prem appearances.

I hate to say it but what if we won or even got a unlikely draw this could completely change our season stranger things have happened

I'm sure it's just a throwaway figure of speech but why do you hate to say it? This would be a good thing

'Whisper it quietly' would be more appropriate imo.

Ok fair play it just seemed a bit doom and gloom was afraid I was going to get eaten alive if I did say it.

If we play a blinder and come out of the game with something, I'm not sure how I'd feel - probably happy that we've done so well and can play but also angry that the players haven't done so in the league.

I'm thinking of the almost perfectly executed tactics and performance under Clarke against Arsenal at Wembley, Why didn't we carry any of that into the league and put the same level of preparation and effort in?

Lol, say something positive about Gomes, or something slightly negative about Loader. That should do it.

Pretty sure the ref will want to review all 8 of the United goals just so he can have a good laugh.

Joking aside, this could be a minuscule factor in our favour as there can't be any ridiculous Stretford End decisions.

I would not be able to contain myself to see Mo Barrow rolling around drawing imaginary boxes with his fingers to get a last min pen

If not already mentioned, this will be the first Reading game to use VAR.

Lukaku got out of Cooper's pocket then.

That's one saving grace. There'll be no dispute that the final result is the correct one.
