We have Moore, Blackett, Osho, O’Shea fit with McIntyre and McShane currently unfit. So we are overstocked. If we can sell/loan Ilori and maybe McShane we can bring one in.

Do you realise that Ilori's dad is English, he was born in London and only moved to Portugal when he was 7? He's still got a London accent.

I like Ilori but he's he's not a player we can't afford to lose and as other's have said, his style isn't suited to a relegation scrap. £3m would be excellent business.

I like him as a player, but in our current situation, the wage he is likely to be on and the fact he seems to be in a rut of making a crucial silly mistake per game, it probably makes sense all round

Also free up some cash and a space in the squad for a big lump to partner Moore. Snag is of course that I think Ilori is very much the kind of CB Gomes likes

Still lived most of his life out there, but yeah it's not like the UK is an alien place to him so I take the point.

He just never seemed settled with us for some reason, never really found his feet.

My recollection is £4million. According to transfermarkt it is €4.3 million.

Also according to transfermarkt, Liverpool paid €7.5million for him to get him from Sporting Lisbon.

The figure I heard bandied about was £3.75m. Still, considering his career has gone backwards in the last 2 years, £3m would be good business.

I think he never really found his feet because by the time he got fit, we'd gone to shit and Stam particularly and Clement to a lesser degree were constantly fiddling with the starting line up. We'd win and start looking solid and Stam would fcuking drop the 3 best performing players for the next game.

I really rate Ilori. He oozes quality and calmness, but is way too prone to being too calm or making daft costly decisions. I think he could well become an excellent player and in a better team with the right bruiser alongside him would shine.

In fact I prefer him to Moore who has gradually become just quite lacklustre.

But, if we can get £3m for him, then it's really a no brainer. I'd rather we sold Moore or Blackett though.

Agree generally though I still prefer Moore to Ilori.

Good starts but this is a relegation scrap and their time will come when the waters are calmer.

With McShane, O'Shea and Blackett still on the books we have numbers but lack quality.

35% sell-on clause, but would hope that is only 35% of anything over what we paid Liverpool for him, (anything from £2M to £3.75M depending on source).
