It's not a ringing endorsement, they barely play football in Scotland and Kilmarnock under Steve shitty Clarke were top until recently. Step down.

PistolPete 6 month loan deal from Liverpool. If he’s to play central midfield, I’m annoyed and surprised. If he’s to play inside forward then it could be a good move.

Having said that- I’ve never seen him play so fingers crossed!

Spoke very well in the twitter interview, but did say that the manager asked him about "his style and how he plays." Who signed him? :?

From Despair To Where?
Snowball Is he eligible to play in the play-offs?

No, we're his third club this season, he can't sign for anyone else.

Boom-boom!

Or he wanted to hear it from the player himself, to make sure they were on the same page, rather than relying on footage/other opinions.

Much like, how everyone is interviewed before joining a new company.

He wins a fair few balls, clearly has skills.

Looks like he's still growing, yet to bulk out, but relative to the average current RFC player
he looks classy

Well Gomes has only been in the UK for 2 weeks, I would doubt if he has much knowledge of scouting talent over here yet.
I don`t think it`s one of his choices.
But somebody must be scouting these guys.

The Tilehurst End has a take on Ejaria from a Sunderland point of view.

Looked very good in Rangers away at Ufe on youtube. Seems to suit a bit of time on the ball...

Not a million miles away from what Rangers fans were saying.

I'm becoming more and more bemused by this signing. Still, let's give him a chance.

Ejaria has great feet, decent passing and good technique. His main problem at Sunderland is that he never really excelled or expressed himself playing for a football club infected with a toxic losing culture. Some Sunderland fans would also argue he’s too lightweight and not aggressive enough for a division like the Championship.

Probably replaces Pelle-similar type of player-same money.

Lets face it, its all a bit of a mess-surprised someone took Edwards & would be surprised anyone would take McShane or Meyler-but hey its the sort of thing we do.

little bemused as well, as didn't see midfield as a problem area.

Still, it also sounds like Gomes style will be far more to his liking that Sunderland's. If we can get him plenty of the ball in the 10 position, then it sounds like he should be effective. Again a little confused as both Swift and Aluko seem to have been doing ok there though

this one makes no sense to me.
why are we taking loans? why are we rebloating our squad with this kind of player? he sounds like everything we don't need right now...
obvs I hope to be proven wrong though...

loan makes sense to me - prob wouldn't sign permanently being as there is a fair chance we'll in Div1 next year

players like this that we have little hope of signing just don't do it for me.
if he was exactly the absolute rock/bulldog we need to fight us out of relegation this season I could accept it, but that doesn't sound like him.

I wonder who's advising the lad. He's had 3 loans, 2 to underachieving clubs floundering under the weight of 5 years of mismanagement and 1 to a club where finishing 2nd is the absolute minimum expectation.

He'd be better off at a club like Rotherham or Millwall, a solid, unspectacular but competative squad where a touch of class and flair could elevate them.

I think that this must have been lined up before Gomes arrived and he's had a look and okayed it. Still with the intent regardless of reducing the squad overall. From what he's said Gomes has realised the need to have a tight squad working for each other.

So we have a talented youngster, who is still not mentally as strong or confident as he hopefully will one day be. From the Sunderland quote "I’d hope for your sake the culture around Reading is less toxic than the losing culture that engulfed the Stadium of Light last year, because that could be crucial in getting the best out of the youngster."

Are we as fans not as likely to get on our players backs as Sunderland (and Wolves when they were doing badly)? Giving him support, a tighter team and please God some wins could allow him to flourish. But we'll see.
