The Cube Well, I've seen him play once. He was atrocious, far worse than any Reading keeper I've seen in the last 20 years. May have improved since.

CountryRoyal Will go down in history as the only Arsenal keeper to concede 5 goals to a Reading side.

SCIAG Mannone was in a similar situation at the same age, except Premier League sides were interested in him. Incredibly meh signing.
Fifth loan as well.

Who were you hoping for in our situation? De Gea? Neuer?

TiagoIlori I know any signing has their doubts but these ones we’ve made this month in particular have massive points to prove and all 4 of their careers seem to look like it’ll depend on how they do here. Genuinely see no inbetween with our signings, either they will do really well and earn themselves big moves in the summer or they will have a stinker

Stranded Assume he is better with his feet and therefore more comfortable than the options we have in playing Gomes' style.
Looking at his career, hard to get a feel of how good he is but bare numbers are:
Premier League
Apps 6 Clean sheets 3
Championship
Apps 32 Clean Sheets 9 (5 at Wolves, 2 each for Wednesday and Rotherham)
La Liga
Apps 4 Clean Sheets 2
Also managed 2 CL and 1 EL appearance , keeping clean sheets in 2 of those.
At 26 he needs game time - would be interesting to see if this is a pure loan or if we have an option to turn it permanent if successful. Would this be the first loan keeper since Hahnemann? Mind gone blank if there have been others.

He will be here to get some football, with Petr Cech retiring at the end of the season it makes sense.
