John Smith In a heartbeat.
Categorically the best midfielder to have ever played for us.

Hound was released months ago Genome - if we wanted him, and he wanted to come back, I expect he'd already be training with us

Wages and injury record are the issue I think.
But I was generally a big fan of him while he was here. A fit and firing Williams alongside Rinomhota would be excellent IMO.

Hound You forgot ‘and appeal in vain for a foul’
I liked him but I think there are a lot of better options out there

What the actual oxf*rd?
Let me real off a few (not sure how long you've been watching) who are better:
Caskey
Sidwell
Harper
Osbourne
Brebner
Gooding
And those are just the ones I can think of right now. Williams time with us can be categorised thusly: 75% of his time with us bang average and 25% very good.
