Great idea lets just hire another guy who will be overhyped by the club's social media and the fans who will inevitably fail because of the frail mentality of our players and be sacked by the end of the season

Whilst it is of course way too early to talk about Gomes out, for me, unlike my view on Clement's tenure, the issues with this side are almost exclusively tactical and managerial.

We have the players to do much better.

Now we've got the endorsement of alfie9 I think you can call Die Young and give him the go ahead.

this manager at the moment does not inspire the players enough to want to put on a Reading shirt and go and win a football match.
Character, desire, structure, tactics all missing.

It is someone else's decision to decide on his future but its not fair to have to go to work each day with people calling for his head.
That won't get any improvement.

But it is right to let him know what you see on the pitch.

No he’s still there and rightly so. Give the guy some slack for god’s sake. He’s not going to be in danger of the Spanish archer until at least November.

Honeymoon well and truly over, that was unacceptable today, 8 wins in 31 games, 13 defeats in the last 27 home games but not all were under Gomes.

No chance. 3 games ago people were spaffing themselves silly about the prospect of the playoffs. Another 5 games at least before the owners get twitchy IMO

Traditional sacking months are December and March aren't they?

One awful performance doesn't deserve a sacking, but there's a whole lot he needs to stop doing wrong.

Absolutely, but there is no denying JG had a shocker. Said to anyone who’d listen after the first goal, had to go to a flat back 4. Mowbray had told his wide players to go beyond our wing backs, the room wide for goal 1 in particular was embarrassing. If a 50something accountant can spot the issue, why did it take a José 60 minutes to work out the problem.

Thing is, it's no different to what Wednesday did to us when we had a back 4. Gomes seems unlikely to ever play a flat one.
