Precisely. We all know what will happen. City will come out of the blocks faster than Usain Bolt while Reading will plod about slowly looking like the proverbial “rabbits in headlights”. From there it will either develop into a turkey shoot for City or it’ll be a sterling rearguard action that Reading somehow manage to muster from somewhere to sneak a point or somehow manage to keep it to just a 1 goal defeat in the face of everything thrown at them. There will be minimal striking threat posed by Reading throughout.

To be fair, we’ve only lost the second half three times. One of those was a 95 minute goal from Joao. It’s the first half that is generally the problem

Like most Reading supporters I cannot understand what’s wrong with Moore.When he first arrived he was a one man army,then Wet Sham became interested and when that fell through his form collapsed.It was ditto last season,perhaps he was waiting for a Prem move.What he didn’t realise was that he was so bad that all Prem interest disappeared.
He then realised under Gomes at the tail end of last season that he was looking at Div 1 football,and all most overnight for the tail end of the season,he was terrific
The start of this season he has been poor,but I don’t think dropping him will help the cause.

Go back to a flat back four.With Moore and Miazga CBS.Morrison RB.
None of our LBs are great defensively.I would probably go with Tyler.
The MF Pele,and Rino ,with Ejaria behind the strikers.
Then play Yiadom to create havoc as a RWB.
Leaving Puscas and Meite as strikers.
We cannot carry on as we are,making the same mistakes,week in week out.
Do something different!Make Brizzie think about it.

Looking at the prediction league, only one person thinks we can get a win and two think we can get a draw which is pretty depressing reading. Wonder, now that Tuesday has gone and we have all calmed down a bit more, what people think on here. Is this "last chance saloon" for Gomes? The international break is coming up so if it is done, it gives us a bit of time, or does the club give him longer?
Ive seen a couple of postings saying he has lost the dressing room (mind you criticizing players by name in public doesn't help), how long will it go on for?

I think this experiment of playing Ejaria and Swift together needs to stop, to facilitate the both of them we need a bloody good DM, Rinomhota and Pele aren't that, so in light of Swift's suspension I think we should play something like this:

I wonder if Swift's suspension may make Gomes stumble across a more balanced midfield by luck over judgement. Rino is better when he has license to be more all action and get forward and he will be allowed to do so today. Not sure we need Swift and Ejaria in the same team.
