Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings Brobes, but it comes across as kind’ve Ian-ish

I like Gomes but have little confidence he's the man to get us out of this.

I'll be very surprised if he is still our manager next time we play.

Likewise. But it isn’t working. He’s been found out and no previous experience to look back on and tell us he can build long term

An odd appointment which has played out fairly predictably

I believe the local radio commentator predicted it very accurately.

Sorry this is now just ridiculous. Another defeat to yet another team that hasn’t really offered all that much despite their lofty position and now Hudds and Stoke have found victories.

Good players consistently underperforming. Tactics just are not right for this level of football in the English game. Far too soft, no sign of threat until the opposition relax a bit and even then it’s all few and far between.

Get shot now and get Chris Hughton before it’s too late.

The thing is, you just know Parky will come in if Gomes goes.....Or another manager that Kia finds, but I suspect this time Howe will get his way, after the Stam/Gomes appointments......

I’m not in the Gomes out camp yet. I must admit though I don’t think he can turn it around because he won’t change our style of play.
Our next three games are very tough. Lose those and we may well be bottom.

Sad times.

What is so disheartening is that the feelgood factor had briefly returned to the club. I can see it being toxic again if we lose to Preston.
In truth Gomes can have no complaints as we have a virtually fully fit squad.

This +100

Think the week of Preston, QPR and Forest will be his final throw of the dice. Another insipid set of performances and I think that may well be it. Yet another load of tripe served up at home to Preston might even call an end to it sooner.

I think our owners may turn up for the Preston game. Lose that and there will be plenty of boos. I can see that being the nail in the coffin. I really hope not. I like the man and hope he goes back to basics.

Despite the usual calamitous defending, lack of any real shape, odd positional choices and toothlessness, I thought we were improved on Fulham and much more in the game. And there was fight.

Admittedly Bristol just packed up at HT.

So I'm a little surprised to see people switching full on out having not been there before today.

I'm not saying I think he's got what it takes or will turn it around. I just don't see how that compounds on what's gone before and triggers a sacking.

I certainly don't think we want to be rudderless for the up coming games. Nor do we want a new manager starting in a really tough run.

Don’t really want Gomes for a tough run either mind you

At least it’d give a new man a month before November which is shaping up to be vital
