Old Man Andrews If he gets 0 points in the 6 games does he go?

Give him 8

I seem to remember when BM MK1 took over we put a 10 straight win run together didn't we?

Winless in his first 5 then went on a run of 8 wins in 9 in the league but knocked Liverpool out of the cup during the rocky start in the league.

While not against the concept of giving someone their first chance to manage, in theory, I'm not sold on this move. Tbf I was not sold on the idea of appointing Gomes to begin with. I warmed to him on both personal and professional levels. I am hoping the same happens with Bowen. That being said the optics of this aren't good and with the club sitting 20th in the table the margin for error for a debutante manager is small.

No-one thought it would happen then - remember at that point we had only just won out first home game in 12 months, v Blackpool on 21/11 and didn't win again at home until 30/1. They really were bleak times, we were arguably in much worse shape than we are now and we handed the reigns to our former scout and academy coach.

3rd poor appointment in a row.

Its a lack of ambition yet again. When we hired Adkins he was generally a sought after man. I suspect the same with Steve Clarke, and to a lesser extent Stam.

What has changed? Have we given up going for the best candidate?

Gomes' appointment was a complete mystery that proved to be a mistake.

This one isn't far off - at least he understands the English game. But surely we could have gotten someone with direct experience at our level?

Yeah, because the man who took us to a playoff final and then promotion in consecutive seasons was so sought after

Not forgetting he had a superb record at Slough Town, and almost got them in the League but for Martin O Neils Wycombe.
I went to the midweek 3-3 draw at Slough (1990 I think), way more people in the ground than was reported, the atmosphere was poison. Slough keeper got carried off after being booted in the head. play was stopped for about 2 minutes while he was carried off, and Tommy Langley (one for the oldies) scored a late equaliser........and about a hundred cars including my girlfriends got trashed that night just to round it off. I had no idea at the time BM was their manager back then. Did abysmally at Woking mind.

Easy, traditional Welshman........scruffy b*stard like Pullis. It will be an outfit made up of different tracksuits like Pullis wears.

Franchise FC 3. No-one on here knows anything at all about the relationship MB has with either the players or the owners.

Safe to assume it's been extremely positive.

Don't know a great deal about Mark Bowen. But for a long time now this club has really needed a lift and something to get the fans excited about. This doesn't feel like it.

But hey, at least it's not Mark Hughes.
