Bet a lot of them have been queuing up outside the manager's office to claim the J20s were their drinks.

Not arrested, but Harvey Elliott has been suspended for 14 days as punishment for the video that emerged last month of his calling Harry Kane a 'fcuking mong'. Hopefully he can grow up and put this behind him, as he looks to be one hell of a player.

That sets a bit of a precedent for acceptable behaviour doesn't it?

As much as it's stupid comment, and an immature thing to do (he is only 16 or whatever) I'm not sure I agree with policing behaviour like that. Who draws the line?

He went for the Wayne Hennessey defence.

It's a breach of FA rules and, as Liverpool have stated, a breach of their code of conduct. It's not that big a punishment, he'll miss 1 game which in all likelihood he wouldn't have started anyway.

To be fair, a 16 year old not understanding why that is offensive is 100000000 times more believable than the Hennessy story.

Don't get me wrong, I agree. I think the punishment is about right. He's 16, a bit naive, it's getting the message out that the term can be deemed offensive and he's not available for a game he probably wouldn't have played in anyway

Isn't another charge being considered?

Judge Peter Armstrong told Gascoigne: "You are now discharged and free to go."

Not read anything else than that, so will bow down to your legal knowledge if you know more.

No greater knowledge-I thought I heard on the radio that an alternative charge of assault was being considered.

I mean it happens to normal people everyday, but yes, footballers being in the spotlight should be much more careful about this type of thing.

Yeah I am going from the angle of a person, i.e a footballer, can easily afford a driver for the night or a taxi. Joe Bloggs might struggle with that so take the risk. Not that that is an excuse mind.
