West Brom in 17th. Maybe they really could use a new centre back!

I was fuming when we lost to Brum. I had harboured hopes of a play off charge and felt that defeat was the end of that hope. It was a dismal performance.
However it just might have been the turning point. We were missing Swift and Ejaria that day and were very poor in midfield......until a certain C Adam came onto the pitch in the second half and started spraying some lovely passes around. He did enough that day to suggest he could contribute going forward.

Since then Adam has surprised a lot of us and does seem to give the team more confidence. So that cameo against Brum may just have kick started our season.

Anyone else slightly aggrieved that we're still only 14th?

Slightly yes, it feels like we should be in the top half after 4 wins in a row. Although another win should see us shoot straight up the table a good few places.

Although I do feel pleased with the distance between ourselves and 22nd, 12 points (effectively 13 with our GD v Wigan's) is a nice cushion to have.

Surprised the hell out of me for sure. He was positively awful the first few games he played for us. Way out of his depth.

Then this. Wtf. Maybe Bowen knows how to use him.

Adam said that Bowen trusts him and this stems from their previous working relationship so yes Bowen knows how to use him. It’s all good.

Just looking back, the current run of 7 undefeated in the league and 9 in total is our best run since:

28th Jan to 17th March 2012 - where we were undefeated for 10 games (W9, D1) on the way to the title.

Scary to remember we came from nowhere really. After game 15, a 1-0 defeat to Forest left us in 16th, our record was P31 W23 D2 L6. Took us from P15 Pts 18 to P46 Pts 89

After 15 games this season, we had 18pts. By 26 games, we had 42 and had jumped up to 5th spot - so we are 6pts off that pace.
