Franchise FC
AthleticoSpizz but with more affordable houses obvs

Not by much they’re not.

Tried buying a house for sons who both went/are going to University of Nottingham. Not cheap at all.

They're about 1/4 the price! They are cheap and it's not surprising. Who'd want to live in that hole.

On a side note - we always seem to have the oxymoronic statements levelled at us of Reading being a shit hole whilst we're also all middle class Waitrose posh boys.

Well quite. Thing is, opposition fans know fcuk all about Reading but have a fixed idea.

A bit like me and Fulham.

Hold on I live round the corner and they’re all cnuts.

Zip It is bizarre how much away fans hate us. No recognition that we offer the cheapest tickets for away fans. Twats.

Clearly we need to up the price and attract a better class of supporter.

Hound With a bit of planning I think Reading would be a decent away day. Generally pretty easy to get to the town - loads of decent pubs there, the hop on the bus for 3pm

I’d have thought the away end would be pretty good as well - good views, good atmosphere when they sing

Can understand that Berkshire isn’t the most exciting place in the world though, and Reading does have a bit of a rep for being dull. Probably a little unfair tbh, I’m not sure it’s drastically different to most town/cities of similar size

Reading IS a decent away day. Plenty of Away fans enjoy coming here. Youd have to come by train, though and, outside London, its one of the easiest places to get to by Train. Its the car drivers that have a pretty soulless experience. Park up in the car park and watch a game in a stadium thats identikit nowadays with nothing to do beforehand or afters.

Oh, for later posts - I would disagree Nottingham is a shithole. Forest away also used to be one of Reading fan's favourite away games.

Nottingham away is a thoroughly decent day out. The centre of Nottingham is pretty lively and some good pubs etc

It’s some shitty parts on the outskirts (some proper rough), but then what city doesn’t?

Yeah, the shitty parts of Nottingham are worse than the shitty parts of Reading but always thought Nottingham was an entirely decent place to visit.

That is a good piece.

It was interesting to read Bowen's comment, evidently Charlie was as keen to get on as their fans were to see him:

Adam's late cameo

He was bantering on at me [to bring him on] and I hoped to give him a run out if things were going well. I was praying he didn't pick up an injury!

Could certainly see Adam ending up there as player/manager next season. He seems quite a grounded chap with a bit of sense, think he'd make a good coach/manager

Would be happy enough for him to stay here for another year in a coach capacity, with maybe the odd game thrown in

How will we see him lift the Premier League trophy then, etc...
