Old Man Andrews It's the Portuguese spelling of it, Genome was being topical.

It was initially a shocking performance by Genome but he is forgiven. You on the other hand, OMA, have been under-performing for too long and need to go.

I'm not sure what you're on about Zip, it's always been Confimred. I never wrote Confirmed to start with :?

It’s too late Genome. The damage is done. I don’t think things will ever be the same.

Just saying.

If I had changed it there would be an "edited by Genome" notice on my post.

I think you've had a bit of a shocker here Zip.

What can Reading fans expect from Araruna?

Well, they can expect a solid player. In Brazil he's what we label a 'European footballer'. A physical player, a good defender. Don't expect creativity or glimpses of 'samba' football from him, though.

And that is just fine with me.

Zip The two windows we have had good results from in recent years were in 2016 when there was a focus on bringing in younger players like Swift, Moore, Blackett and Meite. There were some dodgy signings too but that was a successful window,
,
Then in January 19 we by and large focused on bringing in players from big clubs struggling for game time, That worked too. There at least seemed to be a strategy in place. Most other windows for a number of years it’s been so random.

We've had random bits and pieces of success - like Yiadom, Barrow, arguably Bacuna (based on the sell on), but its definitely been a lack of clear vision.

And yeah, thats mainly due to it being in the remit of Tevreden, then Gourlay, then Howe who all clearly wanted different things and had different budgets

Based on his name alone, this player will be similarly good to Aluko and Bacuna.

Also, have Reading ever signed a player from a mainland European club, who went on to be a consistent multi-year out right success story?

Andre Bikey maybe? Well, it was entertaining for 3 years and he bookended his Reading career with with a petulant sending off.

Or Danny Williams?

Yeah, we're talking fairly meagre pickings aren't we?

Can someone let me know whether i should be 'whelmed or not?

In lieu of this - i'm gonna say that he isn't going to be successful.

In fact, you could say I think he's gonna be a Felipe-flop.

Well put it this way, I doubt we will have a midfield injury crises with the amount we have.
Also try pronouncing his name p*ssed.

We cry out for a big holding player up front and get a defensive midfielder........genius!!!!!

There's actually so little known about this guy that I'm surprised even RFC knew enough to even consider signing him.

Ali Dia, anyone?

'Err, yeah hi, I'm Ronaldo's cousin.'

Meite is going ok too

You’d probably count Danny Williams as a success as well
