BFTG Sheff U FB

by Westwood52 » 03 Mar 2020 22:46

So annoying. We give away two soft goals, yet we made a Prem team look very ordinary for long periods.Same old problem though, when we were on top we never looked like scoring.God only knows what shape we are going to be in on Saturday.Swift and Rino were shot after an hour.

IMHO

Rafael 7 Nothing much to do.No chance on the goals.
Yiadom 5 Marked down for not closing down on the 2nd goal.Did he put any crosses in ?But he did work very hard.
Obita 2 At fault for both their goals,by not being aware what was around him.Very poor.
Morrison 4 Badly at fault for the first but then did OK.
Miazga 4 At fault for the second. That cross should never have come in.
Rino 8 Probably MOM.Tired badly,had a chance second half.
Swift 5 Too much Hollywood. But stop Swift and there is no creativity.
Ejaria 4 Zilch end product. He owes us a big game, this has been going on too long.
Olise 8 After a bad start,he grew into the game, with his pace and athleticism. Will get much better.
Puskas 5 Great penalty but that was it.
Meite 7 The Meite we know and love gave it everything.

Pele How has our best performing player suddenly hit the wall.
Baldock Good to know there are two crap Baldocks in the family.
Macca If only he had kept his composure, late on and pick a pass.
Timbre Zilch really and stupid foul.Looks very inexperienced.

Friend wasn’t great was he ?Missed a lot of tackles through the man.

It had to be bloody Billy Sharp didn’t it.On evidence that must have been the Blades worst performance of the season.

The North stand looked very sparse, but East stand well attended.

An average of around 5 after only just losing to them :|

On the whole, played well, we'd be right up there if we played with that level of intensity each week. Olise, Rino and Swift were superb throughout in the middle of the park, linking up well and moving the ball around with pace. Ejaria didn't get the memo however and unfortunately was a blemish on a fine display in midfield

Goals we conceded were quite simple, and a lack of communication perhaps the problem but other than that, the back four were pretty solid, in particular the two centre halves, and Moore will find it hard to break in the team now

Good subs made by Bowen, Blackett for Obita could have been made, but I'm not sure which of the four subs I wouldn't have brought on so no complaints there

Need a strong end to the season now, starting with a tricky game at Birmingham

No player deserved a score less than 6 today
Maybe Obita with a 5

We were very good and bang up for it. Cannot really fault anything.

Kevin Friend is an utter shambles and a prick.

TBF we flattered to deceive all game. At timeS it looked pretty but we never looked like scoring

Men v Boys in the first 15-20min and I feared a spanking was in the cards, but we grew and grew into the game. I'm not sure what happened but Sheff Utd went to crap. They seemed to just hand us midfield but they also seemed comfortable with fact we never looked like we intended to score

Swift and Ejaria were particularly guilty of never even setting themselves up to shoot, didn't even consider it. Aside from the early Meite screamer did we have a shot of goal until ET?

In short, enjoyed the pretty football but we are still overplaying everything

// also, First time watching the overlapping Centre back thing in the flesh. It's really interesting to watch. I can see why they're doing so well in the prem. Even if they didn't offer much tonight

Pele's strike irrelevant at the end, would have been disallowed if it had gone in

Disgraceful refereeing performance

Perhaps was Men vs Boys. However we made them look very ordinary for long periods of the second half. Potentially that's a team that could be playing in Europe next season.

There's plenty to feel pleased about after that perfomance.

Matt Miazga & Pele should be signed permanently.

Ovie Ejaria can return to Liverpool. If you cannot turn up for a game like this. When will he. Olise is going to be a far better all round player for the team.

Andy Rinomhota should play more often in that advanced role. Got us playing up the pitch. Something we've lacked this season.

Hopefully Brum will play extra time as well tomorrow night. Then we'll have a nice dull game on Saturday and come away with at least a point.

Yeah at the moment I'd definitely take Pele over Ejaria given the choice.

But Ejaria has the class in there, maybe he just needs a bit of a rest?

Pele is just ace

Disallowed for what? The referee was completely hopeless, borderline biased.

Your scores are blooming ridiculous.
How many players can you name at fault for a goal?
Can’t even begin to comment on rest of your post. Have a word with yourself.

No idea, Courtney tweeted it

Pretty sure Friend looked back at the penalty he gave us and compensated for it the rest of the game by allowing United players to manhandle us throughout without punishment

Saw on here that no team outside the Prem have won the FA Cup for 40 years. It won't change with corrupt refereeing performances like that where they clearly favour the bigger team. Should be ashamed of himself

Interesting that Pele got an absolute slagging off after his poor game last Wednesday - it was an abberation and says volumes about his level of performance this season. I'd love us to sign him - but I also think we need to get Rinomhota back in the team performing - he's a real talent.

Funny how people dig out Ejaria for final ball but ignore it from Olise. He has some beautiful touches and I think he has what it takes to succeed, don't get me wrong.

However, he is not quite seeing that final ball, the most notable example being Leeds when he should have played Meite through one on one but didn't see the pass at all. He has done it a couple of times in the matches since as well.

What a player he could turn out to be though. Same as Ejaria who, let us not forget, is only really in his first full season as a regular starter at a single club.

Only really important question to come out of the game is: Why was Obita wearing different socks to everyone else? His had a white hoop!

Watched Ejaria for a year now. Magical with the ball at his feet. Otherwise far too often a passenger. Does he always slow down when he receives the ball to walking pace?

Very frustrating. After our customary slow start we matched them. They really are nothing special. Two poor goals conceded which was a shame because we defended well for the most part.
A very good effort but I always felt they would nick it and it had to be bloody Sharp.
Crowd support excellent.
