Think it was part he wasn't in a great place fitness and mental wise, it was around the time he was getting abuse about his kid wasn't it? And part we were just not up to it with bugger all money thanks to Anton the shit Russian.

Notts Royal Not getting this season is over/another pointless season nonsense. Finishing the season in midtable would signal progress, and if we can end it on a high, that momentum often goes into the following season. This next 2 months could be very critical for the direction of this club going forwards

Up there with Glenn Murray, Leslie Ferdinand and Lewis Grabban in the “great absolutely everywhere else” club.

Murray was good here. :|

Big shame that, thought we were excellent after the first 20

Swift is undoubtedly a prem player - he bossed the midfield - best player on the pitch. Be amazed if someone doesn’t gamble on him in the summer

Meite excellent, all over their FB. Puscas looked tidy and much better. Defence much better generally

Good game, enjoyed it

Played well but lacked the killer instinct at the top end of the pitch until McCleary came on

Rafael 7 - saved what he could, no chance with the goals

Yiadom 7 - was solid at the back, needs to work on composure in the attacking area
Miazga 9 - rock solid at the back
Morrison 8 - played well, took a little while to adjust from Mousset to McBurnie
Obita 5 - not great, but was clearly exhausted in ET. Would have been handy to bring Blackett on but I thought the four subs made were probably the right ones

Rino 8 - this was the Rino we were missing at the start of the season, makes a very good box to box midfielder
Swift 8 - plays better in the deep lying role, much matured in both an attacking and defensive sense

Meite 8 - held the ball up well, got off a cracking shot, worked extremely hard defensively, played well
Ejaria 5 - didn't contribute enough, even in his so called "best role". Disappointing
Olise 8 - you wouldn't know he was 18 with that performance, will be a star if he carries on with the correct attitude

Puscas 7 - fed off scraps but held on to what he could and a decent penalty to go along with it

Timbe 6 - don't think he stretched the defence enough, was too narrow for someone with his pace
Pele 5 - was poor but so close at the end
McCleary 7 - been crying out to use him for weeks, showed exactly what we were missing when we needed a plan B, hugged the touchline
Baldock 5 - didn't do much other than one good pass out wide

Sheffield 6 - think they were missing Norwood and Fleck, often resorted to long balls which Morrison and Miazga dealt with fairly comfortably. Didn't see much of their trademark runs from their 3 CB's, but they defended well and you can see why they don't concede often with them there and with Henderson in goal

McCleary has to be involved more, on the bench at least. Swift is a class above; hopefully nobody comes in for him this summer.

Genuinely seemed to have much more chemistry up front tonight and GMac made a big difference

Meite and Puscas definitely seem to be gelling a bit more

Well it would have been tricky having the fa cup final on the 23rd of may and the play off final on the 25th.

Such a shame.

Was really hoping we'd give the Cup a good go this year now the league season is basically over.

No harm in losing to the best team in Yorkshire though. Made them look average at times.

You would have thought after what he has been through in life that he would be less of a twat.

Shame Morrison wasn't playing against us when he whacked that penalty over the bar when he was on loan.

Not many footballers I would wish an injury on, but Billy Sharp is right up there

As Sandman says, for what he's been through, you wouldn't expect him to behave like that

Snowflake Royal Also thought for the most part Friend was consistent and pretty good. Let a bit more than I'd like go, but seemed to be reasonably balanced, maybe a bit more against us, but we were being out muscled a lot more than anything.

Yeah, probably should have blown for a foul before their first.

Bowen was very diplomatic when asked about him.
Adie or Tim - what about the ref then? He's had better games hasn't he?
MB - well I can't say too much. It was his usual performance

Think you’re thinking of Chris Martin who has ulcerative colitis and was probably the worst of the lot.

Lol @ people thinking that suffering tragedy will magically make you a likeable person.

Still haven’t forgiven Sharp for collecting a drop ball that had been returned to our goalkeeper after we put the ball out for an injured United player. It must be three or four years ago at this point. Within his rights but utterly utterly classless.

Billy Sharp owes us nothing. Everyone crying about him really needs to man up a little bit, he's a winner and he scores goals. He has a right to be arrogant.
