Given how we've structured the Ejaria, Joao and Puscas deals, is signing Pele and Miazga this summer realistic? I doubt we'd have much left in the bank for the wingers we need. Persuade Barrow to come back?

I raised this yesterday. I don't know what the deal is with Miazga. He would be a brilliant captain, he is a great defender. Can we buy him. I would offload Moore personally. I get p*seed off with clubs like Chelsea hording talent. There should be a limit for the number of players on a clubs books.

FIFA are introducing a limit of 8 for players aged over over 22 for the 20/21 season. That's both in and out. Reducing to 6 the season after. This season Chelsea currently have 13 out.

URZZZZ Weird game, Birmingham seemed in control until Miazga’s goal and then we dominated

Rafael 7

Yiadom 6
Miazga 8
Morrison 8 - both centre halves played well, taking away the poor back pass from Miazga
Richards 6

Swift 6
Rino 7

Meite 7
Ejaria 4 - unfortunately another really poor display
Olise 5 - struggled a bit today

Puscas 8 - his holdup play is vastly improved

Pele 8 - Played very well, even before his goal
McCleary 5 - was actually quite poor but got an assist
Moore 6 - helped solidify the defence

Thought the ref was a bit biased towards us and on any other day, they could have had a penalty

Olise put in a real shift. Plenty of movement off the ball. Always looking to get involved. 5 is very harsh. Like Swift getting a 6. Never gave up, Never went missing. Despite the sloppy start.

Olise is actually putting in real mature performances for someone of his age, and he wasn’t afraid to get on the ball and try to dictate play which is a good sign

But I don’t quite think it worked out for him yesterday. He’s certainly got a future if he keeps up the hard work though

I suspect we won’t have enough to buy Miazga and Pele tbh. Imagine we’ve already committed to 7 or 8m with Joao, Ejaria and Puscas and unless we sell Swift or someone takes a punt on Olise, doubt we’ll have much coming in

That's progress at least. Think a couple of seasons back Chelsea had an infinite amount of players on loan.

This week's i award goes to Hound (on role here mate) who is fast turning into the king of the quip....

Hound yes, looks like Hogan was a very good signing for them. Fair play for taking the gamble

They're a basic side with a couple of good players - yes a bit like us really

For his, and other views from the other team's forums, here's your link.
I like the Brentford one myself....

I don't post on the matchwatch threads until after the event...just to give you a free run....

They've actually been running the article for a year at least so you might have more from the past. Just cannot hope to remember if you had.
Although I can categorically attest that there were none by OMA.

My comments on football are completely rational. How dare you speak of me in this way.
