The France v Norway WWC VAR penalty was very iffy if you ask me.
Original thought that the VAR was for a possible red for the two-footed both feet off the ground challenge by the France player.

stealthpapes Kosovo were always likely to do a Montenegro and punch well above their weight for the first few years of their existence. They're only near the bottom of the rankings due to a lack of games played.

Looking forward to how UEFA will change the format next time if one of the big nations gets relegated.

Tbh, I haven't even bothered to look up how the competition works as I know I just won't understand it.

Just looking forward to watching some games that mean a bit more than friendlies.

2 decent teams in each of the groups in league A.

I think we are doing the right thing and not jumping the gun. Lets wait and see what happens and how things evolve before blanket banning everything.

Hendo Finland

Holy bananas! Was a strong, if not wholly first-choice, French line-up too.

France's first home defeat in nearly three years. Finland have beaten Bulgaria, and the Republic twice, in the last couple of months, so they are carrying a bit of form.

Yeah, not quite a first team, but one you would've thought should be beating Finland, even if they are carrying a bit of form.

Despite Steve Clarke being "in charge" there's big hopes that tonight Scotland can qualify for their first tournament for 22 years (23 officially I guess) It would make England's game at Wembley on June 18th exciting at least

A tricky game in Serbia for them but Serbia have gone three home matches without a win since beating Luxembourg 3-2 a year ago plus they have Djuricic and Milivojevic missing through covid while Veljkovic was banned from travelling by his club Werder Bremen.

The Scots will be missing Ryan Fraser, Grant Hanley, James Forrest and John Fleck

Fvck me that was tense, mainly thanks to Clarke's mismanagement, how he let that woeful Serb side back in to it I'll never know. Although on the other hand if their goalscorer had started we'd have been under much more pressure for the whole game.

Just booked June 18th off, that's going to be a fun day

Spain totally marmelised Germany last night. 6-0, 70% possession, 23 shots on goal to 2. Some performance. Hat-trick for City's Ferran Torres.

I think Silver McFox is in for some pain on the 18th June.

Only banter SF. It would be churlish to not acknowledge the joy last week brought to the national team and supporters.
