End of Season Club Dinner
It’s a nice idea although not sure it can be both ‘exclusive’ and intended to be available to everyone.
I’ve heard the players will be performing some comedy sketches and Andy Yiadom will be leading the singing of some traditional football songs on his ukulele.
Good way for fans to meet their heroes (small lol). They should have done something similar for the recent Steve Coppell night, which ended up being a 'jobs for the boys' event rather being opened up to real Reading fans.

Love the "just" £90 for a 3 course meal and probably a cheap glass of wine that would normally cost no more than £30 in total.
So having paid to watch the game you are then paying a charge of around £60 for the privilege of meeting players who we have paid this season for their work.
Not sure that this is the club reaching out to the fans.

Well I wouldn't go, but I'm sure plenty will. It's not compulsory. And there are plenty of shirt signings etc for kids to get to meet the players, so this isn't the only way.
Many clubs give out the player of the season awards at an event like this, rather than in a half-empty stadium.
Rumour has it that this was actually Liam Moore’s idea and I think it’s brilliant really.

The club tried doing this during the Gourlay era only for it to be cancelled due to poor ticket sales and a rubbish season.

I thought I kept abreast of most goings on but didn't see anything. May be I missed it, and not meant as a criticism but would be nice to know if there is a widespread comms outlet I'm not subscribed to ...

It was in Get Reading, The Former players ass. web site but I am not sure if it was on the official site.
Follow them on FB. But didn’t spot any news. Probably my fault !

Former Players' did put out quite a few ads across social media, but apparently it sold out first-day, so obviously they didn't push it after that.

We don't live in London m8 (thank goodness) and do you believe it will be cordon bleu food and top grade wine?
Bear in mind also that you will be sat with a load of chavs and that's just the players so not the greatest ambience.
Just a guess but I reckon this event ain't happening

Its a club doing what it can to try to increase levels of income and take us further away from any nasty FFP consequences. Grumbling about it seems to me a bit like grumbling that they sell hospitality packages on a match day, which also give people the chance to meet with one or two players.
I haven't done so since I was a kid but I imagine if you wait outside the stadium after the game you would get the chance to meet and talk to the players for free.
God (the original, Robin Friday) even managed to find time for a chat before the game on his way into Elm Park. I'm sure he was already late, probably due to stopping off for a quick pint!
Needle Just a guess but I reckon this event ain't happening
