Sanguine Why isn't Ederson sent off for endangering another player? Are the laws specific to it being an opponent? If he does that to Aubameyang, it's a straight red.

No word yet on Garcia - let's hope it is nothing more serious than concussion. Guardiola says he is conscious but needs tests in hospital.

Why would he be sent off for doing that to his own player? He was going for the ball. Come on Sanguine have some common sense.

You can be sent off for endangering another player. I'm asking if that rule only applies to opponents. It wasn't simply a 'collision'.
Similar may be the violent conduct rule, where Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer (Newcastle team mates at the time) were sent off for fighting each other.

Yes the rule states only an opposition player according to my referee handbook

Ascotexgunner Jesus this is dull.......
Just went onto the Black Lives Matter website out of curiosity. First thing I see "Defund the Police" petition.....followed by various bits about destroying capitalism etc.
How was this ever allowed that they wear a Marxist/anarchist slogan on their shirts? Did the EPL actually do any homework? If the shirts said Say No to Racism.....no problem.....but multi millionaires running around with an organisation like that on their shirts doesn't fit.

Went on the website this morning and didn’t see any of that. Clicked on the ‘about’ section and it all seemed very reasonable: https://blacklivesmatter.com/about/

Maybe you just caught them on a bad day. Maybe.

Confimred? He certainly seems the business, and it does look a good signing on paper. Will see how he does first as Chelsea did sign a quality goalscorer from a European league once before, which didn't turn out quite so well...

Had no idea that Shevchenko has been Ukraine manager since 2016. And he's only lost five times in 33 games.
He's still only 43 years old, which is nuts. He got shit in his 20s.

I'm pretty confident they won't be in next year, not sure if the 2 year ban will hold up. I reckon UEFA had them bang to rights to actually ban them.

No chance. It'll be the FFP version of the Bosman ruling.

If the two year ban won't hold up, why would one year ?
If City win on appeal and they've been banned at all they'll be all over UEFA like a rash for compensation. I don't think there's a chance UEFA will put themselves in that position by implementing the ban before the appeal.

So no, unless the appeal is completely finished, I don't think they'll miss out on 20/21 CL, unless the competition doesn't go ahead at all

I believe this is simply posturing by UEFA to levy a large fine as a compromise. I can hear those coffers chinking. Those brown envelopes down fill themselves, you know.

Macclesfield have been docked a further 2 points (with another 4 point penalty suspended) for failing to pay players. This means they finish their season in 22nd place, a point above Stevenage.

Stevenage are now looking at the possibility of legal action against the Football League.

Meanwhile the National League are still to convince the Football League that their next season will go ahead (possible start date for all leagues has been mooted as 12th September) which in turn is probably dependent on fans being allowed back in to grounds to at least give clubs some chance of viability.

However the NL have said they want to promote 2 clubs and have finally concluded their season with the addition of an unweighted ppg ratio, it is now expected that play offs will proceed in the 3 NL divisions.
