Nameless How does anyone think ‘show pony’ in any way describes Moore ?
I could probably list a couple of dozen Reading players from various eras that were exactly that but Moore is pretty much a WYSIWYG central defender. No frills, no airs, no thoughts that he is the next Bobby Moore, rarely cries off with injury but puts himself where it hurts. He’s got his faults but show pony ?

He certainly hasn’t been a show pony but £35k a week for a club our size is mad and he’s under contract for three more seasons. So his wages alone will be the best part of £5.5 million until June 2023. It’s beyond stupid.

Not his stupidity though.
Hating someone because they have been given a lucrative contract is called jealousy isn’t it ?

Its not Moores fault there is just better more cost effective options out there and he is one of the few saleable assets when we have Mcintyre, Holmes and Morrison for atleast another season who can do a job he is an expense we can ill afford. Maybe not a show pony but A financial burden all the same.
could name 3 free transfers who could fill his spot for less wages in
Chey Dunkley (Wigan)
Grant Hall (QPR)
Mike Van der Hoorn (Swansea)
you could probably get all 3 of these for Moores wage 2 of which were club captains for there respective teams.

Whose hating him? I’m just pointing out the financial reality of living in the real world. We need to change.

It's not like he'd have been given it completely unsolicited.

It's only jealousy if you want it too, surely.

Not sure show pony is the right term, but he doesn't live up to hype, expectation and certainly nowhere near salary.

Barrow has signed for the South Korean champions so that’s another wedge off the wage bill

Um, well the same comment that threw up ‘show pony’ and ranted on about Moore included the fact that woodleyroyals supposedly ITK mate hates Moore.

Whether Moore asked for £35k is irrelevant given only theclub could actually decide to pay it.
In any other line of work someone who negotiated themselves a good deal would be admired but footballers are ‘greedy’ because they take their share of the stupid money floating around.
It really is down to the owners to live within their means and to an extent fans becoming more realistic.

It doesn't seem like you are going to get it if you haven't already.

Excellent news. Especially if there was a decent fee involved.

Agreed, if it was £1.5m we have done pretty well there.

Best use of that money would be to pay someone to take Aluko off our hands.

Never voted Conservative in any election of any kind.
I suspect I ‘get’ ‘it’ more than you do, but you seem to post based on picking fights rather than because you have a point.
Explain your reasoning that it is ok to hateMoore because his employer pays him a stupid amount of money....

With your attitude? Nah, don't think it's worth it. Everything you need is already there.

It really does show just how pony Aluko is, that even with us having loads out of contract, a need to cut the squad and wage bill, and him with a year left on his contract which we'll prob have to pay basically in full, he still isn't getting any sort of look in at all at the moment.

I hope they have some dodgy chinese loan lined up for him again or something similar.

Got a horrible feeling he is going to get a chance next season, probably as a winger. Makes me feel sick.

Unlikely. Bowen has shown little inclination to use him after offering him an opportunity in the cup.

Any chance he'd get would be short because he's so shit. So wouldn't last long.
