leon Personally I think it's a disgrace that it's taken Bowen until the middle of July to stay up,

I agree, this must be the latest point in the year that we have secured survival

If the past week had returned zero points rather than 7. Would be a very different picture. Bowen achieved this seasons objective.

But it didn’t happen until July!

I’m glad there are no games in August, we always seem rubbish.

Good point.

Safety not secured until July and no points on the board in August.

And we are expected to back a manager with results like this?

Madness

Ah now. Mathematically not out of a PL place in mid July - who else has managed that since McDermott Mark 1.

Snowflake Royal Is there anything you don't do snowball?

Lecture statistics, write books, look after refugees, work for a Gov, be in famous train crashes, stalk Shane Long...

You've had almost as exciting a life as DD.

Plus a collection of Short stories “Ballistics”

About 500 pubs altogether including some poetry. Despite 19 First Prizes never made a living from it

Bristol Paul Olise doesn’t actually have much end product does he and his passing isn’t great

The last two or three games his passing radar has been well off.

Lacking conviction in key areas right now. A goal would do him the world of good.

Think he needs taking off, can’t do anything right today

Set up the goal, and do we have anyone to replace him?

But yeah, not a great display. Got all the attributes and he could pull something off any minute.

Interesting stuff from the post match press conference yesterday with both Bowen and Baldock suggesting things not right behind the scenes, Baldock admittedly far more directly than Bowen.

Whatever happens on Wednesday I'd given Bowen 7/10 for this season, based on where we were and what he's inherited and I was surprised the Tilehurst End ran a Bowen in or out poll straight after the game.

The last time we had a squad full of loanees and players out of contract we lost 6 out of the last 7 and would probably have gone down but for the decent start we had and that was under a manager with supposedly good motivational skills..... need to remember that.

Is it any wonder the squad is a mess behind the scenes.

We shipped out Aluko to help solve the toxic atmosphere and he's back.

We've got good players like Rinomhota, Morrison, Richards, Yiadom, McIntyre, Osho, Olise etc putting in decent performances alongside people earning double, triple or more their salary putting in lacklustre displays or not even making the squad.

I'd be oxf*rd fuming.

Just taking a pause. What were expectations and asipirations this time last year? Mid table wasn't it?

And we've achieved that, despite an awful start and changing manager.

Mission accomplished. Successful season. Job done.

It’s been an acceptable season rather than a successful one.
