Anyone else finding the Martinez love on Twitter a bit too cringy? The bloke only played for us for a few months, and it’s as though he’s an RFC legend & we’ve played a massive part in his FA Cup win. Embarrassing!

A lot of it is deliberately exaggerated. There is a feeling I share though that if it wasn't for the performances he put in on loan while here, he wouldn't have been nearly as trusted by the 2 Arsenal managers.

Agree, he’ll do ok in the lower leagues. Typical modern footballer though, what position does he play ? Too many ‘ ‘decent’ players who just aren’t one thing or another, can play in a variety of positions without really making one their own.

Had a few miserable loans, where he never really did anything in 2016-2017 and was deemed surplus to requirements at the end of that season, and released. He then got badly injured when on trial at Aldershot in July 2017, and has been trying to come back since then.

Combination of a miserable time in Dundee and a string of injuries that basically ruined him.

A better player than Kelly but one of them got to make a good first impression on Stam.

I am gutted, reading all the comments and news about Blackett signing for Forest. They know they have a good signing there. Well done them.
