Very pleased within the win and Joao hat trick.

God knows where Colch went in second half. Game turned on Joao s first goal which was, embarrassingly, our first attempt. Rhino made a difference. Wembley here we come.

Hendo In other league cup news;

Cardiff are losing 3-0 at Northampton
Swansea are losing 2-0 at Newport
Norwich are losing 1-0 at Luton
Birmingham are losing 1-0 at home to Cambridge
Forest at losing 1-0 at Barnsley.

From the highlights on the TV Cardiff look bloody awful.

Obviously no idea about what sort of side they have put out, but not an ideal start to the season.

Fairly strong. Mostly first teamers.

Bit unfair to pick out Forest given that Barnsley are currently top of the Championship table.

Nah, oxf*rd ‘em

Well said.

If Colchester can play like they did in the first half regularly they should be challenging for promotion. Didn't look a L2 side and most of the first half looked to be the better side.

Rinomhota coming on and Olise pushing forward massively upped our tempo and quality second half and combined with Joao's finishing, they couldn't live with it.

Good luck to them... Harriott had a few good chances for them and he and Brown should score goals in L2.

I’d like to see Harriott do well there. No luck with injuries with us,

Rino always makes a difference- most important player at the club, but seems to get left out more than he should

Fcuk Colchester, they deserve nothing. Hope they get relegated.
