Silver Fox I guess so

The whole thing is one in the eye for the "the people at the club don't know what they're doing" brigade

Just seen it in the FAQs and if fans aren't back this season at all the money will be credited off the cost next season, which seems more than fair.

Indeed, as mentioned, before this is a very good way of dealing with this issue, they have taken their time, thought about it and made a plan that, while does hinder new supporters, or those without season tickets, is fair.

If you have to prioritise one group of supporters, it should always be season ticket holders, imo.

Renewed. £60 down is a very fair offer.

Reasonable that long suffering ST's get first bite. Fickle fans pick and choose their fixtures.

Just renewed. It takes a couple of minutes online. Just had to link jnr to the order and all done quickly. Very fair from the club. Let’s hope we get to see some live games sooner rather than later.

Nope, no discounts. I think that would be a step too far in giving STHs priorities, you're already prioritising them over the normal fan by offering them first chance to return, to then give them more of a discount on iFollow might annoy the other fans.

That and I don't think the club set the iFollow rules so would probably have to get them to agree to such a plan.

Excellent work by Reading FC. Explained very well and the concept of it all is very good and fair.

Have some of you read the supporters code of conduct?

A few things worth noting.

1. Masks to be worn at all times in the stadium - including whilst sat in your seat watching the game.
2. Random temperature checks.
3. Can't sit directly next to people from your own bubble (e.g. your family who you share a house with).
4. Unable to mingle in the concourse to chat with friends etc (even if social distancing).
5. Go straight to your designated seat. So rules out a mate coming to chat with you before the game even if maintaining social distancing.
6. Exiting the stadium will be done row-by-row.

Nothing unreasonable in that, imo. Maybe point 5, but if you wanted to, you could speak to your mate beforehand and arrange to sit near each other so could at least do it that way.

Was thinking about masks inside the stadium and I for one am all for that when the weather gets a bit colder, will keep my face nice and warm :D

Is that correct ? Just paid for Zammo jnr's season ticket and he can't sit next to me. We haven't left the house for six months lol.

I think it is, the club said no more than 1m away, so I guess the options will be either; a spare seat between you or the row in-front.

Don’t understand point 3 at all.

Seating will be allocated on a spaced basis when you enter the stadium I'd guess. For trials too much hassle to allow people to sit where they want.

The Harlem of the club having to assess whether any two people were actually part of the same household or bubble would just not be worth it. If they say everyone stays a metre apart it’s simple to police and they won’t get into arguements with people saying ‘he’s my cousin, we’re in a bubble’

So if we don`t get back to capacity this season (which looks likely) then the retainer will run into next season.

Has anyone received details yet on how to allocate their credit from last season against the cost of the retainer?
