Paper thin midfield still an issue.

Three centrebacks on the bench, no midfielders. Need at least one more DM still, and a LW would also help a lot.

Yeah if Laurent or Rinomhota get injured we are a bit stuffed.

Time to see how we do against a solid Champ team with 11 players all game.

Is it a “political” injury? Might he be moving on next week....

One wonders. Be a huge miss. In what is already a midfield lacking in options.

Aluko is an option

Had enough chances previously. Little possibility of improving.

No other real outfield options to put on the bench other than McNulty and he’s not really in the club’s plans.

Midfielder and winger options supposedly arriving on loan at some point in the next 10 days to give cover but still think a full back and player who offers a similar style to Joao is needed.

SCIAG If we’re concerned about Cardiff being a big side, maybe there’s a case for bringing in Holmes?

And similarly, I think I’d probably leave Olise on the bench. He doesn’t offer as much defensively as his competitors and his versatility in many ways makes him the ideal sub. Very harsh after his first goal.

So that leaves something like:
Rafael

Araruna
Holmes
Morrison
Richards

Rinomhota
Swift
Laurent

Meite
Joao
Ejaria

Subs: Southwood, Moore, McIntyre, Olise, Aluko, Baldock, Puscas

Fair play to writing all that out etc - but this wont be the team and infact be surprised if 4 of them make the starting 11.

You must be feeling pretty surprised?

Great starting line up there! But I fully expect Cardiff to exploit Araruna...he’s got a tough afternoon ahead with Hoilett running at him

Happy with the team

Worst case you can move Araruna into the middle and Morrison rb if an injury

Very worried about Moore vs Moore tbh. But the team is probably right. Need to get the ball down and play

Morro is very slow and uncomfortable on the ball to play RB these days.

Looks like Ejaria in the middle and Olise on the left.

Think Moore will comfortably win that battle.

With Vaulks long throws, Ojo and Hoilett on the wings and big bloke in the middle I reckon it’s going to take quite a performance to keep a clean sheet.

Rather Holmes or Moore go RB, or Richards and McIntyre left. I'd say Rino but if you need Araruna in midfield you certainly don't want to be taking Rino out of it.
