Players just look a lot more confident this year. Could be Pauno could be Bowen going - or just a bit of momentum

For my money you could put it down to one or more of four factors.

Joao being fit
Laurent giving the midfield balance and steel
Olise adding end product to his game
Paunovic being an improvement on Bowen

I'd argue that's the right order for importance and I doubt the fourth one is even real.

Joao has just been so good that's undeniable, and he was key under Bowen as well.

Laurent was Bowen's signing.

Olise is where he is now because of the games Bowen trusted him with.

Can't we start calling diehard bowen fans boweners?
