Only the 41 years for me....

Reading v Wimbledon 2nd May 1979. My mate's dad took us both to watch the game and we won 1-0. I think it was to secure promotion from division 4.

Crowd was 13379, we stood in the Tilehurst end near the front and it was packed.

Can't remember who scored but when we scored the place went mad and that was me signed in for life.

That was the 10th in a run of 11 games without conceding a goal, no wonder despite Hahnemann giving him a run for his money Death will always be my favourite Reading Keeper.. Team that night was: -

Death
Peters
White (always rated him highly)
Bowman (quality)
Hicks
Bennett
Earles (with his curls)
Alexander
Hetzke
Shipley
Sanchez (always thought Sanchez was class [if not always consistent] and his later midfield partnership with Webb was sadly too short).

That was my first Reading game, but I think my first Elm Park game was an English schools final second leg between Reading and Middlesbrough, it would have been around the same time and I think we won... I have the programme somewhere.. Would be interesting to know how many of either team went on to play professionally..

Technically my first game was the Tranmere playoff away leg in 1995 as remember seeing a bit of the first half on the TV when it was 1-1.
The first game I watched from start to finish was the Wembley playoff final against Bolton.
First game I went to was against Burnley in August 2002, a 3-0 win.
